  1. I've been having a pretty rough week, and have missed a few days on my Faerie Quest Cookie because of it. Mainly got the cookie because I wanted to increase the odds of receiving a FFQ. With only two days left, and today being the second time I received the Gray Faerie, I figured it wouldn't happen. Well, apparently.....

8 years of Neo and this is my first time w the fountain! Made my day not so bad.  :laughingsmiley:

  2. I was told the needle hurts more, but I've never had experience with the needle so I guess I was told incorrectly? @_@

I may get a piercing higher up on my ear when I'm older - question for those who have the actual cartilage of their ears pierced as well as their earlobes: was it more difficult/painful to get the cartilage pierced?

(I know, I'm a huge wuss, but I don't want to do the whole mall piercing thing all over again.)

My auricle was probably a 3- sharp, annoying. Then it was done, and I even was facing the mirror thing so I watched the guy do it. Less than 30 seconds to pierce. It was done with a CBR, and honestly I can say the piercer clamping it shut hurt more than the piercing (same with the industrial). However, my industrial (two holes, bar) was a 5.5-6. The first hole, honestly, I think hurt more (as the upper part of the ear closer to the head has more of a thickness) and it took a little longer. Then I had to sit up, shift, and lay back down. The second one was quicker. The thing that really hurt with this was the screwing on of the balls/insertion of the bar. It was really sensitive and uncomfortable for the second hole; couldn't feel the bar really that much in the first hole. I just wanted it to be over, LOL. I don't consider myself having a 'high pain threshold' either, so I was surprised as was my mother when I just laid there silently and took the needle. Let me say this-after you get an industrial, you no longer feel bloodwork/shots :laughingsmiley: Apparently, the higher you go up on the ear the more it hurts? Not too sure if I can agree with that. Just don't have any fear when you get it, that'll make your brain think 'this is gonna hurt so bad!' and it will.

  3. Oh boy. Where do I even start? Summer for me started on the 12th, thank goodness. I immediately started work on my English GH projects I am to do over the summer; finishing a ten paragraph essay (15+ sentences in each). I thought, hey. Get it out of the way so I won't forget about it a midst band camp and totally forget.

What kind of phone call do I receive the next day?

I am not allowed to take the advanced course due to my grade being 3% below an A grade. Three. Percent.

I was jarred. I was shocked. I was told 'the grade isn't an A. You're evidently not 'advanced' enough to take the course. I'm sorry.' I told the woman I would do the work. Normal English is too slow. The material is too easy. The reason I had slipped 3% was because of family issues and seizures. Of course, she didn't believe me. I told her I already finished a huge portion of the summer work. Her response?

    Too. Bad.

I was bawling. I feel like a failure. I know I could do the course and I /want/ to challenge myself. I have yet to hear back on if I will be in the advanced History I signed up for; but I doubt it. They're denying me the education I want and know I deserve. It's ridiculous; they say they want us to be so smart in the US, yet if a child knows they can do something, and their past work proves it, they won't allow us because of a letter.

I'm glad to say I'm probably to a VoTech school after ninth grade.

  4. I've got both my earlobes pierced once and don't plan on getting any more piercings, as cool as piercings higher up on my ear would look. I couldn't stand the sudden shock of the instrument piercing my ear again x_x

Might I ask, did you get it done at one of those 'mall stores'? Most of the time, and I hate to say it, the individuals in there are sadly unaware of what they're doing. I myself got my lobes done when I was...10? at Claire's, with a gun. The ladies working decided it would be a GREAT idea to do both at the same time, and the one moved, causing the one hole (left I believe) to be positioned lower than it was supposed to be. It healed up fine though and they can handle dangly earrings (though I'm afraid it'll rip or something one of these days). Either way, don't let it scare you off! If you want a piercing, go for it. All of the tattoo shops around me do piercings (just make sure you call what one you go to beforehand to see if they'd do the piercing/do piercings), and I've been very happy with mine. The people there are trained, know what they're doing, and will ease your doubts!

  5. You have won 1,121 NP, and it looks like the vending machine is out of food... a paint brush falls out!

    Christmas Paint Brush

Hooray! Got bored and decided to buy a Nerkmid from the SW (Copper) and ended up with this! Not a super-duper rare brush, but this is the first time I've gotten anything 'good' from the vending machine. Pleasant surprise. :)

  6. I don't think there's a thread like this (oh gosh I apolgize if there is!) so I thought I'd start one.

What piercings do you have, or had? Plan on getting? I myself have my lobes done, left industrial, and auricle (fancy name for 'halfway up the ear cartilage piercing' :laughingsmiley: ). I plan on getting my tragus on both done, triple forward helix on the right, rook on the left, second lobe piercings, and maybe another cartilage ring on both (I don't want overkill). Iffy on getting my vertical labret done; I play clarinet and that would totally take me out of commission Probably even taking it out would leave that little hole for air to escape or something. Yikes.

  7. Really glad to see a topic/thread like this, and to observe other peoples' thoughts on the matter!

Shelley pointed out the various added gender options now on Facebook, which I think is really great. It's nice to see larger amounts of people realizing that gender isn't the simple 'staples' (male, female; aka cis).

I myself am genderfluid. I was born a 'female', but prefer your or male pronouns; but if people are uncomfortable with it (some people are) I have them use your (or female ones) as my feelings towards my identity fluctuate. That may seem very confusing v_v; and I apologize ugh. Genderfluidity in itself isn't the easiest thing for me to elaborate on.

I honestly tend not to be open with it; with only my girlfriend knowing, and close friends. They are fine with using a male name around me (the name I chose can also double as a girl's, so that makes everybody a bit easier) and their/male pronouns. The reason for this (not being open) is the way my mother took my sexuality (ie: not well). I do have my hair short and dress androgynous; often attempting to skew my 'natural gender appearance' (as I do bind).

I don't think it's a 'phase' (boy, have I heard that...) and everyone should explore how they feel; and shouldn't have to repress that. It is an iffy subject, which needs to be handled and tread carefully. But like I said, every person should be able to be themselves without scrutiny, which is sadly really hard in today's society; although we are becoming more tolerable and considerate. Not everyone is going to know what every single gender term means, and that's okay. I see a lot of people who fall into alternate genders snap on people who don't know. Why not politely tell them? If they've just met you, they don't know you want to be addressed by xyz/xyzr/xyzself.

Overall, it's great to read some of the things that are posted in this thread; very informative!

  8. Alrighty, was cleaning out my SDB. Came across...

    .Rainbow Wocky Adventures

    .Striped Cybunny Brush

    .The Island Bruce

    .Silver Aisha Fizzy Drink

    .The Faerie Aisha

    . Poogles in Camouflauge

    .Disco Chomby spring toy

I am pretty certain these are from Plushie codes; as I know I have all these as plush ( Silver Aisha is currently on my dresser). What are the prices of these...? I really don't see any in Auctions/Shop Wiz/ TP. Just a couple, depends on what the item is though.

  9. Well, I was recently on the TP just looking at random stuff. I cam across a trade where someone was trading crackers for about 600k and saying you could get PBs and stuff from them. Is this true? I thought you just got like a toy and another item from them.

  10. This year was a pretty awesome Christmas. This is what I got:

    Playstation 3

    Little Big Planet

    Splatterhouse

    Skyrim

    Uncharted 3

    Portal 2

    $50 Gamestop gift card

    Pikachu Pillow Pet

    Mew plush

Some japanese pokemon stuff (including that Mew)

    Mario Kart 7

    Book on calligraphy

    Candy

    Puzzle book

    Red PS3 controller

Holiday Bulls-eye dog plush (aka the Target dog)

    $30 Amazon Kindle card

  11. congrats! thats alot of np! i'm guessing its going towards a faerie paint brush? :)

Yep. I'm going to wait a while, earn a bit more NP. Don't wanna spend it all right away. ( I love the feeling that I have 1,471,226 NP in my bank!)
  12. I sold mine for 850,000 Neopoints at the Trading Post when I first got mine, either 850,000 to 900,000 Neopoints (with 1,000 NP increments) would be fine.

I did what you suggested, but started it off at 875k. It sold for 896k. Money in my bank! :D
  13. I've won something before, never a paint brush. :guiltysmiley: A Big Congratulations

Usually I win 50 NP and that ugly green thingy. :laughingsmiley: I'm sure most of you win that too!

Sometimes I win Faeries. I used to win more back in the day. Now my luck seems drained.

Anyway, you going to use it, or sell it? I would sell it. I don't care much for Spotted, except for my Spotted Cybunny - her name is "Enticing_Golden_Eyes" and her eyes are Gold as she's spotted. Don't care too much for Gold either.

Going to sell it. Though, I need to find out how much to sell it for first xD
  14. Wow, that's the same exact prize I won last week! What are you going to do with that Spotted Paint Brush? Use it on one of your your pets, or sell it for a good price? Anyways, congrats on getting a big Fruit Machine win, Neeker2.

What an odd coincidence! Most likely going to sell it. I like the spotted Koi, but I want to achieve other things before I think about that. And thanks for the congrats guys!
  15. For anime I recommend xxxHolic or Mushi-Shi. Both are really good. And if you're into zombie stuff like I am; Shaun of the Dead. It's hilarious, plus zombies! (Basically a funny version/parody of Dawn of the Dead; which you may also like. Night of the Living Dead was a good black and white zombie film,I recommend it). The Killer Shrews is cool; but it's 1959.(Still B&W). Anything with Vincent Price as well.(Was a very good actor in all of the stuff he was in). The Walking Dead is a good show; it's currently on mid-season break though. Go to Netflix, see if you like it. It should be on instant stuff.

  16. I've removed almost all my teeth myself and nothing bad has happened(similar thing has happened before).I always wash my hands etc and use a paper towel. No problems yet. I remember pulling a tooth that wasn't even loose and I was fine. Plus, the hole is filled by the new tooth.
