been making tons of progress in Pokemon Shield. Kinda glad we're at the end of this tournament. Terror Mountain managed to hang on and sneak into Bracket 2, so hopefully that means we fall no lower than 12th

one can hope. i've put in a lot of work to get pipped at the post by a too-high prize value lol

Ideally, i would love for them to go for broke and put up like a Steampunk paint brush cuz i want that for my Lenny (i'd like my Quiggle to be burlap, but that's a lab ray only thing, i believe). If its not, and i can afford it, i'll still get the paint brush just to say i did it. Since Meridell is on track to win, maybe they'll do the Royal brush? Sometimes there's a theme, but that Tyrannian paint brush has popped up a couple times even in non-Tyrannia-winning years. I think the water paint brush was up once and that would be cool to see again. From there i just go down the list, picking out what looks cool to me, and then spending the rest on the team-specific gear toward the bottom; one of each, then the rest on the Terror Mountain item.

yeah thats why i have no plans to do it again; it was an all-day everyday effort. I think i was able to get two paint brushes that year and i gave one of them away to someone on these boards. The year before, i went super-hard and got the Eventide paint brush prize and used it on my Aisha; i will never change her color after that. XD Edit: i looked back at some of the past prize shops and the paint brush seems to fluctuate between 30k (for the rarer types like Eventide) and 9k (for the slightly more common Tyrannian brush and such). Reeeeeeallly hoping its not 30k this year cuz i am not on track for that lol

one year (AC9), just to see if i could, i manually quad-maxed every single day including break days. It CAN be done, but it takes a great deal of insanity. lol Theoretically, it should be easier these days since they've brought down the daily limits a great deal, but i've heard that you can no longer double up (playing a few games of SOSD or MSN while waiting on SS or YYB) and i haven't tested how much of an obstacle the recaptchas could be. I reeeeeeaallllyy don't plan on quad-maxing again anytime soon, if ever.

fair enough. i tend to let Prytariel take the ball cuz i can't be bothered to drag things out by passing it around unless i HAVE to. lol As far as teams giving other teams trouble, i found Mystery Island to be the most bothersome team for me this year, so far, although Maraqua's goalie sure gave me heck yesterday. I considered joining Maraqua when i first started doing the Altador Cup cuz i'm a water sign, but like i've said elsewhere...Aishas are my favorite species and Prytariel is my girl.

i'm really hoping that sticking to my regimen will be enough for the paint brush, even if its a paint brush i don't want (like another Tyrannian one). If its not, and i would've had to have played MORE games? I dunno if i wanna do that lol

i hit All Star. I usually hit All Star but i feel like this is the most effort i've put into an Altador Cup in some time....played almost 6300 games so far.

i use the 3-1 formation and my Prytariel still has well over 3500 goals while the next in line has just under 500, so i dunno if formation really counts lol. I guess its more about who is in the middle.

i switch out low-scorers, but i stay loyal to Senor Malo and whomever is representing Terror Mountain

i've officially hit All Star Now its just cruising to the end and seeing how many prize shop points i can rack up.

i'm glad Scribbles did well; gotta support my Terror Mountain players! I guess i'll have to switch out Aesop and Jade Edit: I switched to Miss Rainbow (for obvious reasons) and Van Doodle (simply cuz his picture makes him look almost exactly like a friend of mine lol). i do 30 games of YYB, 12 of SS, 36 of MSN, and 400 of SOSD. Chunking really helps me, which is breaking things up into smaller bits to work toward a goal. Like, instead of thinking, "Oh i have 400 games of SOSD", i do 40, refresh the browser so it doesn't get too bogged down, then do another 40. SOSD is really quick and while doing blocks of 40 doesn't really change things outwardly, its more of a mental technique so you're looking at a smaller bit and seeing it build up (40...80...120........). SS and MSN, i don't bother going for a full score (SS can take over five minutes doing that) or smashing out the full 30 seconds in MSN. I go for the minimum score (-ish...minimum is like 280+ for SS and i do 350) and cut it short. MSN, you really don't have to smack the keys. You place one finger on each key and get a decent rhythm going (still setting a good pace, but not going full tilt). Then, when you see about 3000-3500 points, hit space and send your score. What helps me with YYB is just seeing the numbers grow. i like seeing how many goals my Prytariel has scored, how many goals Rinok has scored, etc.... Once you get into a routine, muscle memory starts to happen and pushes you through. I'm at rank 19 now and i'll def hit All Star tomorrow. After that, i'm just continuing my regimen to see if i can afford the top prize in the prize shop by the end.

i have my regimen and i just do that. keeps me focused and if my team does poorly, at least i'll know i've done my part.

i picked Scribbles cuz duh. Senor Malo i've had on my team every year, so i'm loyal to him. Jade and Kiko Cat seemed to do well last year and then Aesop cuz i like Kreludor.

i'm glad break days don't count toward ranks. makes it actually feel like a break day

its to be expected, what with the "winner's curse", but we've never finished dead last so as long as we can avoid that....

i totally get it. When i first tried the Altador Cup, i almost went with Faerieland, but decided on Terror Mountain only because A) I'm a water sign and like ice spells in video games and B )it was the only team with an Aisha, my favorite breed, as captain. I've stuck with them every year since, through the down times and up times. The only scenario where i'd consider switching teams is if Prytariel were traded or just left the game entirely. As an aside, a couple months ago, i FINALLY caught the magma pool guard napping and turned my Ixi magma! I've been trying for that for a looooong time lol. And then a month ago, i got a rainbow pool faerie quest (or i think she granted me a wish in place of the grey faerie) and i turned my Kougra into its candy form. I've pretty much got my dream team (Magma Ixi, Eventide Aisha, Mutant Poogle, Candy Kougra), but i need to get my Lenny and Quiggle sorted out. I'm thinking a Steampunk Lenny and a Burlap Quiggle, if possible. But i've strayed off topic....lol

i don't think they do reCaptcha for YYB and SOSD. i have yet to see one for either game.

it seems random cuz yesterday i only had to do one captcha through all my SS and MSN games, but today i had like 3 just on MSN

a pet peeve i forgot about til today is in YYB when the opponent gets the ball does one of the following: 1)walks AWAY from your goal with it 2)passes it between themselves instead of shooting at your net 3)bouncing it against walls instead of aiming for your net Like, i know i should be glad they're not actually scoring points on me, but i'm much more annoyed by them stalling the freaking game for so long that way.

if the YYB cap is only 46, i might as well go for 45 a day since i'm already doing 30. lol
