I went with the awakened this round. I've had pretty good luck picking lately, but looks like the seekers might have been the better choice - guess we'll see

I spaced until about 11:55 last night, glad I made it, but I picked the Sway for the cheaper by the dozen boon. Looks like the Awakened might have been a good choice, but I guess we'll find out. Good luck on the avatars, everyone! :)

I would stop doing that, since it is against the rules. If you really want the NP, your best option would be to make that account your main for a while (be pretty careful here, though, switching back and forth too often could get you in trouble, too), but you never want to be collecting NP on two accounts at the same time.

The faerie quests fortune cookie is a good one. If you participate in the battleground of the obelisk and your faction wins, there's also a chance to get a boon where you can swap out your current faerie quest for a new one. That requires a little more patience and planning to get them both at the same time, but it's pretty helpful.

It seems a little silly of them to have released those books right next to each another. I mean, at least space them out a little bit so it isn't so obvious....

They're worth like 10-15 NP. So not a whole lot... Jellyneo has a battlepedia that can tell you more about battledome stuff and how well they work. It's probably fine for a beginner weapon if you don't have much NP to spend, but it's not anything special and you can only use it once per battle.

My highest is 181. I kind of figured I'd probably only get junk from it, so I tend to skip it a lot.

I finally have all the avatars, so I went with thieves guild for the stock market boon.

I'm having troubles with the closet right now, no matter how many times I refresh the page it just shows a white screen (but I see the loading bars). I think this is just happening to me and I don't know if it is related to the fact that I recently changed my browser from Chrome to Firefox (in order to play Ghoul Catchers). :sad02:

I think the browser is the problem. Customizing wasn't working for me in firefox but works in chrome. I've always used firefox and haven't had that problem before, though.

The battledome is still down, but healing springs and faerie quests are back.

I really hope that they do!! They did the altador cup despite problems around the site, so I guess we'll see. I always liked the games master challenge, and I definitely think they should be doing that kind of stuff and keeping people interested in playing.

Where are the edits of the colors? Neoboards? I'd be curious to see that.

 

I totally agree with you! Those items look really cool - I love the colors. I've liked about a bunch of other new items, too. Those pet colors are TERRIBLE, though. I wouldn't want any of those. Putting out new colors is cool and everything, but if nobody wants their pets to look like that, what's the point?

Definitely keep up with it!! The first time I tried it I just made random bets, because I had no idea what I was doing. I never won, so I gave up. I've only gotten into it this year....Now I'm kicking myself for all the NP I could have made if I'd stuck with it all those years.

 

I follow Garet, too. I found Anisa while he was gone, and am following her bets today. In less than a year I'm up over 3 million - and that's even starting at a negative amount and missing plenty of days. You will have days where you lose everything, then you'll have days where you make 3x what you put in and it makes up for it.

 

Honestly, if you're new, you don't even need to know too much about how to bet at this point, you'll learn more as you go. For now, just trust that the bettors everyone is recommending, in the long haul, come away with more NP than they spend, because they do. Pick one, follow them exactly, all 10 bets, everyday that you can, and you should profit from it in the long run. Stick with it, it's worth it!

My oldest account that by some miracle I still have access to is 15 years. I've had lots of accounts over the years, but only have access to 3. I think the rest have all evaporated by now. My problem was never the passwords - it was the fake birthdays I made up and forgot...

 

 

It's not the same now, is it? Also, does anyone remember that underground cave place? It had a coin shop, a coffee shop, and an art gallery, I think. Did that ever exist, or am I just imagining it?

Yes! I'm pretty stingy with my NP. If I have a good day in food club/shop til/stocks, then I'll go buy some items I want before I put the rest in my bank. I don't really buy anything over 100k. I always just think about the bank interest :)

Yes, that's super obnoxious. I haven't been on the money tree lately, but always hated that, because you'll just keep trying until you realize you're not going to get anything...

You could clear out your inventory first, that makes it easier to see what stuff you got, or just make a note of what the first item was and count from there.

Yep, I've been getting that for days now, too. Not sure why, because I also thought it was supposed to keep going up. Either another error on the site, or they just put a max on it. That would be quite a lot of NP per day spinning a wheel if it kept going up, though.

Thieves here, too! It's the last avatar I still need and it'd be pretty nice to finally actually get it. Even though the last couple rounds I've been forgetting to even battle... :mellow:

Hi, Emily! Welcome. And welcome back to neopets, too! That does sound like a pretty long hiatus. Starting over definitely gives you a ton of stuff to do around the site, though, especially if you're also going to be doing art gallery stuff along with it.

Mine says 1st place too...I agree, looks like laziness. Oh well, at least they mostly fixed them.

People knew which teams the cheaters were playing for pretty early on...and then no surprise, they started putting up crazy scores. Cheaters have always been pretty rampant around neo, but with something like the AC it just stands out a little more. Definitely not fair.

I'm also done!! Enough YYB for me. I guess extending it is good for people who didn't get as far as they wanted to...but...I'm definitely burnt out on those games and was hoping we could get our prizes tomorrow. Bummer. Not sure what difference it makes if our scores aren't sending anyway!
