  1. * In your opinion, is it worth it? Useful?

Well, it got me my desert Lutari(who rocks), and I've occasionally got an avatar from it. I like it for also letting me test different colors and get different clothes.

    * How long did it take you to get it?

    About six months.

    * Around how much did you spend on it?

14,000, I got the rest of the pieces in REs, I play a lot of the card games, and bought the last piece. I'm working on a second one for my side with just RE's, lots of duplicates, but 7/9 done after five months.

    * What do you mainly use it for? (Color/Species changing, battledome changing...)

Colour/Species changing, lab pets...dropped a tranparent Skeith in the pound, am doing the same with my current lab pet until I can get a Chomby.

    * What method did you use to get the pieces?

REs and Keyquest, though I hate playing Keyquest enough I don't do it anymore.

    * How much NP should I have if I want the lab map?

Yeah, about 1-2 million. Depends how much you want it and how much you're willing to wait.

  2. WHy do you guys buy multiple lab maps? And whats the interest like in ultimate riches, do you notice it stacking up?

Well, I'm building one for my side(only two pieces away), and yeah, you do. I get over 3000 interest a day(almost 4000 now), and it compounds daily. It's not the greatest return, but you can only buy stocks once a day, and I'm just a casual restocker. Plus, on days I don't get much of a chance to play, it's like one quick click for three games worth of np.

  3. The most I've ever had is 16 million, but it's a lot less now, after buying Kelpbeard's Trident and some other things for the Fairie plot, various books and that(bought the Chocakto card, traded it for a book that had none in the trading post or listed in Jellyneo.)

I'm nearly back up to eleven million, Ultimate Riches helps a lot, as does stocks. I tend to just buy stocks and restock in books and play games. *coughs* I also cheat, and only got my lab map from random events, considering I play a ton of the card games, and get lots, plus bought the beads to get more random events.

  4. wow werent they like 2k? and before i buy them, making sure i dont waste 20k. fire faerie gives strength right?

Yep, I had two in my own shop before this for 1895. And Yes, plus if you have a question, you can look on the link for the fairies and it tells you what they give, if you want to doublecheck, I did for mine.

  5. Forgot to pull up shop wizard before my quest...An Air Faerie swoops down and exclaims, "Hurray, someone who can help! Please find me Pirate Pomade!"

I know Agility isn't worth that much, but well, might as well.

Edit: Never mind. 40k+ is way too much.

  6. Two of them.

One, in the return of Dr. Sloth plot, I gave up when the whole code problems started up with the solvers and people were getting frozen, instead of keeping on, because I was actually doing fairly well on my own.

Two, my lab pet turned into a Chomby, which I wasn't too fond of, so kept zapping....and he changed less then two days before Chomby day where the Halloween and Darigan Chombies came out, which I both love and want. Then again, he ended up as a Desert Lutari, and so I'm just going to try and adopt a Chomby on their day. Or get a new Lab pet and zap, whichever comes first.

  7. where do you restock trans potions and the like? and paint brushes?

They don't...well, as far as I'm aware of, Trans potions are random event only(Dr. Sloth, I've gotten two, sadly, both Bruce) and very rarely, from the Neocola machine(Tokens for which are sold at Space Station Weaponry). Morphing potions are stocked at Magic Items, one reason that shop is so busy.

Paint Brushes...well, Hidden Tower for some, Key Quest for some, Test Your Strength, Fruit Machine and a few other random events.

  8. Are you asking in "Can I get a list of what each store stocks?" Or in the "I'm looking for this item and want to know who sells it?" sense?

Jellyneo can tell you the second, and give you a good start on the first, but I don't think there are any definitive lists out there, especially since some items can stock at more then one location(not even counting the Garage Sale and Attic, which pretty much cover everything).

  9. I've been enjoying them so far, mainly gotten defenses and HP boosts...looks like they're not linked up like they used to be, which is interesting.

Did one crafting fairy quest, for the wig(It's on my Hissi if anyone wants to look). I'm hoping for the Clock tower background myself, I think I'm going to do my desert Lutari up in steampunk for next month.

  10. I actually have a FF quest done, I've been kind of waiting until after this month(I've got both my transfers for TDN pets reserved) so I could get the avatar and then give someone their buzz dreamy or do a plushie to put in the pound(It would be pirate, but they lose their clothes.)

I'm actually hoping I don't have to do that and I don't get an FF with this event, mainly because that would mean just the pound. I've pretty much already got all the paint brushes I want for my dreamies, and am about to get a second lab map to put on my other account for the rest.

  11. It's actually kind of difficult to do any up to date guide. Mainly because items change so much(for instance, the Neopies dropped some items from 40k to 200 neopoints, every time Keyquest changes you need to be on top of that, Apple Bobbing, new site events)

That said, some shops are better then others. Igloo Garage sale is a good place to get your feet wet if you haven't shopped much before. No, you don't haggle, but it gives you a good idea of what things are, and if you chose something bad, you're not out much.

Traditional shops recommended are Books, Post Office, Magic Items and Food. I tend to like Collectible coins(only one bad restock(Mystery Island), sell quickly, and I collect, so.), Collectible Cards(Which I don't recommend, until Fairie quests start back up again), and some of the other bookstores, though you'll have to double check what's good.

And don't expect to get the great stuff right away. It's worth buying stuff that's only going to get you 100 np or so when you're starting...hey, it's 100 you didn't have before.

  12. Thanks everyone! The PBs are just deflating because of the newly released supply. It will inflate again over time. I'm just confused. Why is everybody a little too interested with the Altador Strength Potions? I mean, they just give off 5 strength points. Am I missing something?

Depends what level you're at. Right now, five strength points cost me 15 codestones(a bit above three thousand apiece at the moment) 45,000

At the highest training level at mystery island(not red codestones), you're talking 40 codestones. 120.000 and 5 days

When you get at the red codestones...well. again, if it's just five red, it's still five days and about 140-200k, depending.

And if you're comparing it to Neggs...Power Neggs are a bit deflated right now, but there's five points of strength for 500,000.

Or Two cool neggs(which do more, yes) for 1mil.

Quite frankly, yeah, it is neggs you're comparing it against, and it's a nice thing, especially since they're so cheap with plot points.

  13. Hmm, I definitely agree stocks are great...and yeah, they don't go up every day, but if you're like me and not a big fan of doing shop wizard checks for more then a few minutes, it's fairly nice.

Put money in the bank and don't touch it. I make myself put everything above 30,000 at the beginning of the day in the bank, then do my dailies, including stock buying. And if I have a good day, if it's more then 100,000, it all goes in the bank. I might pull some out for half price day, but that's it. And upgrade your account when possible. That way, even if you take money out, it stays the same interest rate.

Don't be afraid of randomness. I get far more neopoints from random events then I get stuff taken away, and I've gotten some really nice stuff(Lab Map, three paintbrushes, mootix and other petpetpets...that sort of thing) The card games are good for that if you like them anyway. Wheel of Mediocrity is worth it, not so sure about Wheel of excitement anymore( Even with the healing springs up for the Disease, the expense isn't matched by the prizes, I'm mainly even so far) Coconut Shy is great. For less then 2000 a day, you get a chance to win 20,000 and an item that can be 45kup. And you may even turn a profit on days if you don't win, I usually only wind up "losing" 200 nps a day and win fully every couple of months.
