  1. Hmm...Kacheek is interesting, though are dresses squished on them? And if I got a Blumaroo, it would have to be a different color, the Royal is a bit hard to match. Usul seems to have a boy face from the rainbow pool, anyone have a actual screenshot? Lennies look kind of odd to me, with the body of the tail sticking out behind.

And yeah, if it was best Royals, Peophin and Uni would be on the top of the list, it's just the clothes issue that makes me pause.

  2. So, since I'm near the end of the pet avatars I need, been looking around for a fourth permanent for my main. Already got the name and backstory, just need to figure out which pet would be best, especially since I love customization.

So, needs to be upright, needs to look good in dresses(which is always the hardest part), and needs to be somewhat...royal. Right now I'm thinking Royalgirl Draik, which is within my means, but if someone's got a better idea, I'd love to hear it.(And I wish they'd let us have the more princessy Aishia's from the npc artwork.)

  3. Most of the wigs look really good on Hissis, to note. I tend to keep one on mine most of the times(surprisingly, dresses look the best on her too.) But yeah, on most of the pets, wigs look really bad. Especially when you can tell the artist didn't do the perspective right for some of the three quarters ones.

  4. Yeah, I'll try and remember, I'm not the best at screen shots. I pound surfed a bit, and picked up a Bori named PsesudoScience. With a name like that, how could you resist? But I'm also likely going to see what I can do with my old pet for color changes after this one(if nothing else, I have an orange Kougra potion on my main from the WoE that I can send over).

  5. So, was working on getting the Secret lab map on my side, but I decided, even though I could just buy the whole set, it would be more fun to get all of it from Random Events and Keyquest(only two pieces from Keyquest, sadly). Six months later(and quite a few duplicates, all of the unbuyable pieces), I just got the last piece hunting for Neggs in Brightvale.

Going to have to see what I can get, I'll probably pound surf for a bit to try it out.

  6. Decided to make a list for today(especially since I'm trying to get res)

You find a piece of the secret laboratory map! Piece 6 (sadly, I already have one)

A Blue Shoyru zooms down from the sky and whizzes past your head!

Brilliant light blinds you. As it fades, a Light Faerie says, "Thank goodness you're here! Please find me The Phantom, kind Neopian." Yay, I need levels.

  7. So, it's my understanding that you can trade Neocash items for other Neocash items of the same value.

If that's the case, I have an extra Woven Silk and Wire Wings, since I was silly and accepted the same quest from the Crafting Faerie twice. Would anyone be interested in trading me either a Flower and Wire Garland or a Silk Wig with Flowers for it? ^_^

Also, on a related note, I wish you could obtain gift boxes in ways other than redeeming a gift card. I have a ton of items I'd really like to get out of my closet, but I'm not willing to spend more money on Neocash just to give away or trade the items I already have. x_x

If no one else does, I'd love the wings and I do have both of those items. And yeah, the gift boxes are annoying, your best bet is the gift box capsules, or stuff like the Neggstraviganza and the Stocking Stuffer will give you extra gift boxes if you do them anyway. Go ahead and neomail me on my account, I'm on a couple times a day.

  8. I've won nc twice, and the 5000 once. And as far as I know, it's always been 150 nc.

As on the gift boxes, yeah, I can see them not wanting the kind of trading going on, but it does make it annoying for my family, my mom likes a lot of NC items and I buy them for her.

  9. I got one about...five, six months ago. I'm pondering what to do with it, I was going to do the avatar...but then I realized I'd really like an Alien Aisha with a name I have picked out. Which, while I do have a lab map....well.

  10. Mediocrity is definitely worth it, paying back a lot more then it used to.

Excitement...I'm still not sure. if you count the selling stuff, I'm probably breaking even, but the illness can be really annoying, and the wheel seems far more rigged since the revamp. I used to hit the top spot every two days, now I haven't gotten it once since the revamp.

Knowledge I'm going for the avatar, the possibility of a million dollar book and the job coupons keep it decent, especially since I've sold quite a few of the job coupons since I started spinning it.

Monotony...again since the revamp, been pretty unlucky with it(I used to get Mazzews and codestones all the time), but it's worth it with the paint brush and codestones, though the first and second time I got a paint brush, they weren't deflated from Keyquest, so about 450k apiece instead of the 170 they are now...but one paint brush win will let you spin the wheel at a profit for over three years even at the lower price. Oh, and since the revamp, Monotony has been pretty much between 2-2 and a half hours instead of the day long spinning for me.

Misfortune, I only spin if I have an illness that won't go away that's expensive, even then I just put all my money in the bank. I don't want to risk forgetting a book on my main pet, some of those were darn expensive, but I don't even risk her with misfortune.

  11. Oh that sucks! My account age isn't old enough to get in there though :(. I heard the AAA sells some pretty amazing stuff though. Are almost ALL of the items in there restock-worthy?

Hardly. Most have come down a lot, and a few are stuff you can pick up at the Igloo Sale, or worth 1np(most Keyquest and daily stuff). But you can pick up some good things, though I think the most expensive I did manage to get was a 70k book for 500np.

And the item that got me the most was the Heavy Robe of Theivery in there for something like 43000...

And I tried to buy it while only having 40,000. ack.

  12. Well, it's been quite a while since I've been level 26, but some things that helped me.

One, you're a bit over on soliders, you can likely do with just five until level forty or so.

Two, Nesters are good if you're away a lot(eggs are 200xp), but workers are much better if you can leave Habiturium running. Especially after you upgrade them.

You'll need mud, wood, and stone the most, for building.

So, you'll need storage, plus, when you start having too much, buy nests, upgrade them, and then destroy them to earn lots of xp. Though definitely upgrade all your buildings you plan to keep first, it's worth it.

  13. Well...there's putting money in the bank, first of all. I tend to put everything but 30k in the bank before my dailies, so that I'm not tempted to spend it.

I put 15k in the stock market every day. It's a long term investment, but I've probably reaped several million over time that is money that's basically "free" for waiting(I sell at 30).

Right now, Habiturium is a great money maker, I'm at level fifty in it(not hard to reach) and it's running about 20-40k a day, depending how long I leave it running, with about ten minutes of setup at the start of the day.

Games, of course. Even if you don't have a lot of time, it's easy to get 20k a day with a few games, there's a nice page of ratios at the bottom of the dailies page.

There's restocking, which I'm bad at, but I earn a bit, especially since I haunt the bookstore and the Igloo Garage sale, and just throw stuff in my shop, pricing it when it gets full.

But I'll be honest, the biggest thing is just not spending money. Once it starts compounding, it's much easier to build up.

  14. Depends what you mean by big. I'm buying a Darigan PB for my Chomby, after I use the Halloween one I've already got. Planning on turning my np to col. for the lending program(especially the Meowclops.) I have enough, it's just buying the PBs. Eventually I want to get a Draik Trans potion, though that's a bit by the wayside considering I'm trying to figure out which pets I want to keep.

  15. No, invisible is one of the colors that isn't customizable, otherwise it would be kinda fun to have a random floating t-shirt. With the customization they do really need to go and re-draw the faeries. There are only a couple that are interesting like the xweetok, lenny and pteri. The other ones look like base colors with np-bought wings. And 3 cool looking pets just isn't worth 2 million neopoints when you can get a significantly better color and buy way better wings to get pretty much the same effect.

I also agree that the uni should have a zebra-esk pattern just like the spotted kougra actually looks like a cheetah, it would make it a lot more fun :)

Eh, I have a fairie Hissi, and she definitely doesn't look like a base color with bought wings. I really like the mottling for wings and hide, but it's hard to see now, I've got the Carnival wings on her.

  16. Hmm, I agree with someone that the mutant draiks look like much cooler dragons, I don't even like most draiks(I think they're ugly, and not dragon enough).

As for my favorite mutants, Kau(Go Lovecraft), Eryie(It looks proper, and I like the colors), Peophin(Nice colors, and sealike), Pteri(I like the mask, and the colors) and the Uni is pretty nice in a Ki-rin way.

Least...Kougra(blah), Moehog(looks diseased, in a bad way.), and the Acara's feet just strike me as wrong.
