Guest Sloth Von Karma
UPDATE: The lookups should all be working again now, we have updated the codes for the new filters. Let us know if you have any more problems! If you have tried to apply one of our Altador Cup lookups today, you'll most likely get the following error: Invalid words or disallowed property names found in your style tags. display margin-left margin-top margin-bottom Now, while it seems that it is a problem with our coding, reports from the Neoboards state that there is a coding flaw in the filters, so these words that usually are allowed are now blocked, and thus the layout cannot be applied. Our advice is to wait until tomorrow, as TNT will be back from the weekend and they will sort this minor, but annoying glitch. Thanks.
antiaircraft
As a matter of fact, this glitch applies not only to TDN's Altador Cup lookups, but most other user lookups in addition to petpage, gallery and shop layouts. :sad01_anim:
spunky_munky_gal
...and I thought I was just silly and couldn't get it to work :S
Ms.Nikki
Phew that's good to hear I wanted to get one of those AC lookups
Guest Guest
those styles are now blocked since people were abusing them by placing expensive item pics over cheap items like dung and tricking people into purchasing them from their shops... i doubt TNT will remove those properties from the filters unless they apply them to shops only
aeox.justix
Ugh... People need to grow up and stop trying to scam and try to cheat there way on neopets. It ruins everything for everyone.
The Mutant Korbat
I guess we need to wait until Monday.
Guest Cory
You just have to put a "#" in front of it. (i.e: #display) I tried it and it works... got it from Sunnyneo.com
Xepha
Actually, it is still messing my code... I will have to find a way to fix it. Good suggestion though...
antiaircraft
These scammers get everywhere nowadays. <_< *runs off to buy a can of Scammer-B-Gone from Morgan* But still, TNT should only have applied the filters to shops. There's no point in blocking such basic CSS elements in petpages and user lookups. :sad01_anim:
Izzy ♥
You just have to put a "#" in front of it. (i.e: #display) I tried it and it works... got it from Sunnyneo.com This only works in IE :( So if you're using a non-IE browser it gets accepted by the filters but completely messes up the way the lookup displays! If TNT announce that the filter changes are permanent, I will recode the AC lookups... I hate recoding, I don't want to have to do it for something that is only temporary. Xepha
What is especially annoying is that with these filters, it is impossible to use divs because it blocks positionning... :(
willi03
THIS HAS BEEN DRIVING ME INSANE FOR A WEEK!!!!!!! :grrr: I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET IT TO WORK FOR A WEEK!!!!!! :grrr: NOW IT'S TOMARROW AND I SEE NOTHING.ZITT. : ( Ever since I tryed to put a poll on my webpage to ask what team people would be on, It stoped working. IT MAKES ME SO MAd (sorry the caps lock sliped).
antiaircraft
Well adding the '#' to the code elements works in IE for now, but if these filter changes are permanent then TNT will probably adjust their filters to block that as well. :(
kic42
The same what just is said, place a # for every word that isn't allowed, this won't work in FF, but will work in IE ;)
Xepha
Except that I don't have IE =p (thanks goodness, Apple pwns Microsoft) So my layouts are messed up.
Guest zimdibgaz
its not a glitch that those words are blocked....its to stop scammers from pricing a pile of dung at 99,999np and putting a picture of a paintbrush over it
Xepha
Sure, let's prevent scamming and turn down talent of graphics maker instead of freezing the people who are doing stupid stuff. They didn't have to disallow the codes in lookups, guild layouts, petpages and pet lookups if the problem was just in shop! I am still waiting to see how TNT will handle this. They are blocking all evolved CSS properties.
antiaircraft
Yeah... this isn't pretty. If TNT makes this permanent for all their filters (instead of restricting it to shops like they should), then they'll anger a lot of people (including myself). Izzy ♥
There's a way past the new filters ;o Simply add a forward slash to your the end of your style tags, i.e. change <style> to <style /> and </style> to </style />! Its not very nice coding practise, but it works in both FF and IE so the code goes through okay :) I'll update the AC lookup codes after my exam tomorrow, unless another staffer sees this before then and wants to do it for me :P I'm supposed to be studying, so I really shouldn't do it now... antiaircraft
Thanks for the tip Izzy! :) It irks me to mess around with code this way, but at least I can update my lookup again. XD
