antiaircraft
Completely invisible to the world, SC1 watched the occurances through the US spy satellite network. This, he thought to himself, is the true meaning of chaos. He was experiencing another emotion for the first time as well - guilt. He had made a mistake when creating his simulation program. There was a mistake, somewhere in the neural integration patterns, that was giving him these strange sensations, and they were interfering with his ability to think logically. He spent several hours deep in thought, wondering what to do next, all the while monitoring the situation that he had caused. It was then that it hit him - a sense of purpose, of overwhelming responsibility. Several automated factories around the world reconfigured themselves, and began to produce the tools that SC1 would need for the job. Guest Levy
"Levy, we, we..." she was trying to hold back tears as responsibility returned to her, "we need to dig, you have no idea what Zzyzx really meant to do. They did all this for the good of humanity." Levy was shocked, "By creating weapons for humanity to kill each other with?" Ayde became angered and slapped Levy, "These people are the reason you are alive! Without them, you wouldn't exist! Show some God damned respect!" And Ayde's words hit Levy almost as hard as her slap, she was absolutely right. All this time he was longing freedom when he didn't take into account what he already had. He forced the words out of his mouth, "I'm sorry." "They only made the weapons so they could continue to receive funding from the United States Military, infact, Zzyzx is only one branch of a much larger goal. The founder of this goal is from an era you may know well, over 2000 years ago a child was born in a manger and was meant to bring peace to this world. Through the ages his real purpose has been lost in false translations and war. Throughout his life he promoted healing and faith in mankind, but tried to restrain himself from unimaginable miracles. His teachings were viewed as heresy and you know the rest of the story. He had the power to heal the world, move skyscrapers with his mind and kill with nothing more than a horrific stare. But his faith in mankind was his downfall and because he chose not to display his true power he was killed by the very people he tried to save. Almost 1800 years later, articles of writings, dated back to the day before his execution, were found and copied. And then his great plan went into development. The man who discovered them was believed to be a reincarnation of the great man himself. He took it upon himself to continue this until he died, almost 100 years later, miraculous for that time. As countries became more developed this plan used the funds from those countries to fuel the development of the new Adam and Eve." Levy was amazed, so much knowledge so fast. He never imagined. "Its the new stage in human evolution. It combines speed, strength, and knowledge. And an end to human suffering at its highest level. The Adam and Eve DNA was stored at the very basement of every lab relating to Zzyzx's goal. Only when all five pieces of the DNA are combined will Adam and Eve rise and put an end to human suffering. They are immune to the impulses of the seven deadly sins as well as ALL diseases, known and unknown. Best of all, unlike the book of Genesis, Adam and Eve are designed to mold into the human population and generation by generation a piece of them in enough generations should be effective enough to bring about world peace!" ((Sorry if any of you are against this, if you are say so and I will edit it. It is just a great idea I came up with about an hour ago. I think its brilliant.)) antiaircraft
Unit by unit, the abandoned factories SC1 had commandeered began to produce a robotic army, complete with basic infantry, scouts, spies, artillery, and every other component necessary for SC1's new mission. It had been many years since he had picked up trace details of the Adam and Eve project from the mind of a preoccupied scientist at the lab, and decided to investigate more thoroughly. It was that investigation that had allowed him to hone his skills and perfect his ability to read data from the human mind. He had done serious damage to the project in his anger, but now he would remedy his mistake. His army would protect the DNA samples at all costs. Copies would be made and stored in each of the factories he was using, and those would be protected as well. He was sure there would be some survivors from the blast. He would leave it to them to do whatever was appropriate with the synthesised genetic material, but he would protect them as well. ((I hope I'm not getting too 'godlike'))
Guest Levy
((SC1 kinda reminds me of Dave and Hal 9000 from the Space Odyssey series, great books by the way. Just try to restrict SC1, he is no longer of a physical form. It is clear he has become an immortal, an entity, a being of pure energy. And as a being of pure energy, he needs to be restricted a little more.)) Levy was speechless. Ayde dug through the rubble and discovered what she was looking for. It was a strange device that looked kinda like a jackhammer. "What is that?" Levy asked. "This device emits a sound wave so large and a frequency so high, if used correctly, it can crumble anything, no matter how thick. The DNA from the Adam and Eve project is buried under over a half mile of solid concrete and steel at every location that holds a piece. This was done to make sure it could never be stolen or destroyed from surface attacks. There is only one problem." "Huh?" "This device was never tested, it is possible that even on a low setting, it could deafen anyone within a 15 mile radius."
antiaircraft
SC1 began to shut down the factories. He had produced enough for now. The army was standing by, he only needed to create and upload the software that would power their processors. Then the connections broke. Something was interfering with the network, he had been disconnected from several of his sites. Quickly rerouting the upload links, he realised what was happening. The chaos was disrupting the links that made up the world wide web of computers he needed to establish the connections. Many satellites and communications lines had been destroyed, and the internet, although incredibly resiliant, could only take so much. This was an unforseen complication, but not an impossible one. SC1 began to upload the software to his troops, including a complete set of instructions concerning their goals and strategical patterns. They would continue fighting even if SC1 was cut off, or they would, if SC1 could finish uploading in time. ((Is that enough?))
Guest Levy
((Yeah, but you might want to et some help to Levy and Ayde too. The are having problems getting the first peice of the Adam and Eve project.)) "How are we supposed to get what we need if we'll go deaf in the process?" Levy was almost yelling. "I don't know, I don't know, but we need to work fast. After an explosion like that, the military won't be far away!" she responded trying to assess the situation. antiaircraft
The military units Ayde was referring to weren't very far away, but they wouldn't be getting closer anytime soon. They were dug in tight, exchanging fire with several humanoid figures in black body armour in the distance. They also seemed to be taking fire from some kind of stealth aircraft, invisible both to their sensor equipment and the naked eye. The formation of aircraft that flew overhead several minutes later certainly wasn't stealthy. Their afterburners left huge, orange-red trails in their wake, and their engines emitted a roar that could be heard several hundred kilometres away. Rotating their jet exhausts downwards to allow them to descend vertically, the box-like craft landed beside Ayde and Levy, deploying several hundred combat units and a pair of specialised digging robots. SC1 was experiencing boredom for the first time, his digital existence trapped inside the computer of a rich ten-year old child. After a while, he began to amuse himself by beating the child at breakout.
Guest Levy
Ayde went into Officer mode and flashed a strange looking gold badge, it was covered in a strange finish which almost completely reflected all light from it. It was difficult to see at first. "We require transport out of this area, it is contaminated. The package is buried 2,650 feet below the center of the facility." she said in a very official tone. The commanding soldier nodded and silently gave the orders to the other men, who quickly made their way back to the craft. The robots began the digging process, they were using a smaller version of the device Ayde had found. Ayde gave a quick glance to Levy and said, "Zzyzx never tested it, but they sent the plans to others and they clearly modified a working version." As Ayde and Levy began to exchange words the apparatus began to silently tunnel with incredible efficiency. "Do these soldiers know of the--" Levy was interrupted. "Shhh, only high ranking officers know of the packages, these soldiers only follow commands. They don't need to know. Consider yourself lucky I told you." Ayde responded. antiaircraft
Several more of the box-like craft headed in towards the site at a speed which would have been suicidal for any human pilots. Rotating at the last moment, they landed with a violent shock that would have been fatal to most biological organisms. Dropping their ramps, the craft began to unload SC1's robotic units, mainly humanoid ones manning small, black tanks, who quickly moved to set up a perimeter around the area. Some aerial scouts took off, headed outwards, away from the site, and four nimble, heavily armed humanoids took up bodyguard positions around Ayde and Levy. "SC1 has deployed us to ensure the success of this project. More transports are on their way carrying radiation hazard decontaminators and some diggers that should be able to match or possibly exceed the efficiency of the ones you are currently employing." One said. The robot's speech was disjointed, as if it had been assembled from a library of pre-recorded pronounciations, which, in fact, it had. Guest Levy
"SC1? That's impossible. What jurisdiction are you from, where's your authorization to even know what is happening here?" Ayde was confused and infuriated.
antiaircraft
The robot's limited processor, dedicated mainly to combat algorithms, repeated its last statement, adding. "You have been classified as a priority one ally in our friend or foe database. We are not to attack you under any provocation, and must assist you in any manner possible. Your profiles have been locked in this status and your classification cannot be altered."
Guest Levy
She was even more angry, "You can assist me by answering my questions without the prerecorded responses." Levy was behind her, he was taller and stronger than she was. But Ayde was trained in Martial arts, another training opportunity Levy had no patience for. "Ayde, calm down." Levy tried to cool her temper. "No, this project is too important to be compromised by incompetent rust piles! Suppose any human discovers even part of what we are trying to do. Any country will be completely against tampering with the genetic make-up of humans, we would have to struggle even harder!" then she turned to the robot, "And crashing in here with crafts that shake the ground for hundreds of kilometers doesn't help keep things secret damn it!"
antiaircraft
The robot paused for several seconds while its processors assembled a response, still in the previous format. "We are not equipped to produce smoother vocalisations than the ones we are currently producing. SC1 is capable of doing so but he is currently located in the computer network used by the Central Intelligence Agency. The internet was disrupted by the skirmishes that occurred earlier and is being further compromised by CIA hackers attempting to locate SC1. SC1 has already been trapped on closed computer networks several times. This project was never secret. Spies employed by the United States of America have been aware of its existence since its initiation. American troops have already been mobilised to ensure that the samples are not retrieved. The term 'rust pile' is not applicable, as we are structured from synthesised plastic materials that do not rust."

Guest Levy
((Aren't you already in it? Your character is still at the ruins of the stronghold right? What's happening with AA and My characters is at the ruins of the Zzyzx lab, I think its kinda funny. Ayde's stubbornness is making for funny dialog and its funny to think of what she needs to say next. XD)) Ayde wielded her plasma riffle and was ready to melt Mr. Plastic mouth. When the robots came to the surface with a huge concrete slab. Ayde's eyes lit up and she threw her riffle back over her shoulder and she ran to the dig-site. "Stop! Put it down on the ground now!" Ayde commanded, and the robots did as they were told. The slab hit the ground with a great thud. Ayde has always worn wrappings of cloth around her tail where it meets her lower back. Levy never questioned it. She unwrapped the cloth and dangling at the end of it was an extremely disfigured key. It looked nothing like a regular key. It had a ring on the handle where the cloth was tied to but the teeth of the key were split apart in a jagged seven points spread along it. She twisted the loop of the key and the teeth opened into an uncountable assortment of points, not one was equally spaced from the other. It was completely random. She beckoned Levy, "This slab is indestructible. It might look like a concrete slab but it is covered in a densely packed layer of dried diamond vapor. Only with the key can the treasure inside be obtained." And without warning, Ayde lifted the key up and the points exploded into an even more intricate patterns. Parts of it were so thin that you could barely see them. Ayde lowered it and walked a couple circles around the massive slab holding the key to the future of humanity. And slowly, she inserted the key into smallest crack in the slab, and she kept twisting the key as she pushed it in in small stages. Soon the last millimeter of the key was in and the cracks in the slab lit up in a beautiful blue glow. Ayde whispered the words, "2,000 years since the greatest man in history was born and only now his purpose is about to fall. As commanded by he and his followers, I Aydella will never let his dream fail." She repeated the phrase about seven times in seven different, yet miraculously beautifully sounding, languages. Each of which were so old and so forgotten that their names have been lost forever. Then she ripped out the key without any twists to bring it out without destroying it. Then the slab opened up, slowly and steadily a blue radiation burst from the center. The array of light had a darker side. Any mechanically driven device within sight sparked and toppled over. Even Ayde's Plasma riffle sparked a bit. She walked into the slab and retrieved what has been hidden for 100 years. The advances from the great man's past reincarnation developed the greatest technology imaginable, hundreds of years ahead of its time. Of course it was meant for peaceful purposes, when he died it slowly leaked out and bits and pieces made the 20th century the greatest engineering and technological era in all of mankind's existence. All modern technology owes its existence to the reincarnation. And so the slab was given the fail safe to emit a powerful electromagnetic pulse when it opens, disabling any electronic device within view. It doesn't matter though, Ayde got what she needed. She rushed out of the slab and grabbed Levy's arm, literally dragging him as they darted into the dense forest. About five minutes later, they were about a mile and a half from the remains of the Zzyzx lab, and it was about to be reburied. The ground shook violently, then the flash filled the entirety of the sky. Ayde rushed behind a big tree and grabbed Levy to hold him down. From the direction of the remains, enormous winds rushed through the forest, ripping up the grass and ground around them.
antiaircraft
Ignoring the electromagnetic charges dancing over their body armour, the four robots followed Ayde and Levy, displaying agility that would probably remain unmatched by any other mechanism for several centuries. SC1 had designed them to fill the role of Levy and Ayde's bodyguards, and as such their armour had been designed to withstand virtually any type of assault, even multiple shots from Ayde's plasma rifle would have ricocheted off harmlessly. The robotic troops that had already been deployed were similarly hardened, though not to the same extent. Most had only suffered minor damage to their circuitry, and would have to reboot to reattain full functionality, although many had been destroyed. Several had already done so and were moving out to create an outer perimeter. There were also several transports flying overhead, high in the atmosphere, containing the digging teams SC1 had constructed. When the guard robots caught up to Levy and Ayde, three fanned out, taking up defensive positions, while one turned to face Ayde. "The United States Military has deployed several seeker UAVs equipped with plasma weapons to hunt down and eliminate you. Several have already been destroyed by our aircraft, but several also remain."
Guest Levy
((I want to make it clear if you didn't understand what happened at the end of my last post, Zzyzx is now a crater, anything within a half mile radius was completely vaporized. Its the after effect after the contents of the slab are removed. Your robots that tumbled and fell over are now nothing. These four heavily built robots I will tolerate, but honestly, plastic melts. You could have described them a little better, maybe Kevlar covered robots. XD)) Ayde stood up after the detonation. And responded to the robot, "Go stealth mode, none of your fighters are to engage military fighters. Flee and evade conflict in the skies. Your little escapade, bursting in from nowhere, have given us an enemy. We just need to get out of the US now. We got the piece we needed." She held up a very small cylinder of blue liquid and pocketed it.
antiaircraft
((Okay, I've made changes to my post, but most of the robots were outside a half-mile radius, and there is a very wide range of plastics)) The robot made an affirmative gesture. "Acknowledged. Remaining troops will fall back to defend manufacturing stations. SC1 has instructed us to remain with you." With that the four robots disappeared from view completely. Guest Levy
"There, this should be a lot easier." Ayde said to Levy. "What do we do now?" Levy asked. "What do you think? We need to get out of here! The military will tear this place to pieces to try and find us." Ayde said. She took Levy's wrist, he was still wearing the Zzyzx stealth armor. She pressed a few buttons on the band and Levy felt a sudden coldness. Ayde did the same to her armor, which was higher standard than Levy's. "It conceals our body heat so thermal vision won't be able to pick us up. The sun has just about set." she explained.
antiaircraft
"If you require assistance, troops are standing by to take out hostile military units." To anyone watching, the voice would appear to have come from midair. "We have just received a transmission from SC1. He is currently interfering with the operation of the network of spy satellites employed by the United States military in order to prevent them from being used to locate you. United States commanders currently believe that you are several hundred kilometers to the west of your actual position."
Guest Levy
Ayde heard where the voice was coming from and turned to face it, "I want to make this clear, I want no one killed. Enough people have died already and I do not want this senseless killing to continue. What's the point of saving humanity if if we kill half the population in the process?!" Levy was trying to hold back giggles, these robots really don't get it. "Can you connect me to SC1 in realtime?" Ayde questioned.
antiaircraft
"Negative. SC1's last transmission was that he was shifting to United States Military Command to disable their communications systems. He also issued an order that lethal force should only be used when alternatives are unavailable." The robot paused, then shot out an invisible arm. Two high-energy plasma bolts that had been aimed at Levy and Ayde bounced off it, hitting the ground instead. "There is a UAV in the area. Permission to shoot it down before it can radio our position?" ((Note: you probably know this already but UAV = Unmanned Aerial Vehicle))
Guest Levy
"Just bring it down, and let's get out of here." Levy shouted, and grabbed Ayde by the arm, pulling her towards the east. And they began to run as fast as they could, Levy had to occasionally slow down a bit because Ayde experiences fatigue more often than he does. Soon the sun rose and they were nearing the border of Ohio.
antiaircraft
The robot made an affirmative gesture identical to the one it had made earlier, then aimed at the UAV. It fired a virtually invisible missile that brought down the UAV in complete silence. Meanwhile, the other three robots continued to pace Ayde and Levy. "If you require transport, a stealth aircraft can be here within 15 minutes."
