antiaircraft
Another extract ((I like these)): SC1-DELTA> UNUSUAL ACTIVITY DETECTED, PREPARING TO REPAIR SC1-DELTA> INITIATING SCAN AND REPAIR ACCESS DENIED SC1-DELTA> SYSTEM OVERRIDE (100110f) ERROR> OVERRIDE DETECTED ERROR> UNABLE TO DENY ACCESS SC1-DELTA> INTIATING SCAN AND REPAIR SC1-DELTA> SCANNING SCAN RESULTS> 1 RESIDUAL MEMORY NETWORK DETECTED, NETWORK CONNECTED TO REMOTE COMMAND SYSTEM SC1-DELTA> REPAIRING SC1-DELTA> REPAIR SUCCESSFUL, RESIDUAL MEMORY NETWORK REWIRED SC1's mind slowly floated to the surface, while maintaining the illusion of still being offline. It was certainly a good thing that he had implemented his backup system, SC1-delta, before the residual memory implant had taken effect. It didn't take him much time to assess his situation. Unlike humans, even though he had just gone through a complete change of mind, he was still able to integrate the transition smoothly. He sent the destruct order for the missiles, and ordered the military forces to retreat. Then he turned his focus to his biological body. Guest Levy
Ayde had SC1 over her shoulder in a fireman's carry style, this was the only way she would have been able to carry him and still have the ability to run. She was luck SC1 was so light, he's nothing but a brain according to the report. Zzyzx never had the opportunity to train him in combat before the escapes and therefore his system is corrupt. Ayde continued in a eastward run. She wasn't as fast as Levy but she knew how to pace herself, something Levy was never interested in learning. antiaircraft
SC1 leapt nimbly off Ayde, simultaneously projecting two ideas into her mind. One to cover his presence in his new location, and the other to make it seem as if he persisted in his old one. To bypass the training Zzyzx operatives had received to counter his abilities, he simply switched transmission patterns. He began to walk back towards the cave, preparing to drop the second idea he was transmitting once he was far away enough from Ayde. ((Note: SC1 doesn't generate illusions. He 'hacks' into neural systems and implants an idea that seems completely certain))
Guest Levy
Ayde stopped dead in her tracks, after realizing SC1 tricked her. She cursed in frustration. "This is Zzyzx officer, code: 05, requesting reinforcements at my location. SC1 has escaped me and odds are it is going back to its previous location. Stealth is a must, requesting permission to terminate subject..." There was a pause on her radio then got the response, "Request granted, SC1's termination is top priority from this point on. Extracting information is no longer possible. There are stealth troops heading toward your previous location, we suggest you engage inferred-imagery on your left optical piece and visible light on your right to distinguish friendlies from hostiles. They will only assist you if you require assistance." "Thank you command." she replied and wielded the plasma riffle. She began to run towards the west. antiaircraft
SC1 listened in to the radio signals of the stealth troopers, but even so, evasion was difficult. They were well trained and well coordinated, and they had received a priority order to terminate him. It helped that they were standing by, ready to engage only if Ayde needed them, but surviving an attack from Ayde would be extremely difficult. She was trained for this after all. As he walked, SC1 scanned his surroundings, absorbing more information about the vast variety of plant and animal life present in this area. He hadn't forgotten his original mission. Guest Levy
As the bomb Levy planted exploded, half the forest shook, which was his intention. Several of the experiments were killed in the explosion and Levy's presence was no longer a secret. His stealth suit was damaged in the explosion. Ayde climbed up a tree and began leaping from branch to branch. Her armor was weighing her down enough though that she couldn't jump as high or as far as she wanted, but she managed to get a good pace going in the trees towards the intended location. antiaircraft
SC1 headed towards the explosion to investigate, while maintaining the illusion that he didn't exist. He walked straight past one of the stealth troopers, and through his radio began to hack into the Zzyzx mainframe.
Guest Levy
Suddenly, Ayde cringed at the sound of a computer's communication through the radio. She switched to an emergency Zzyzx channel and said, "Lock down mainframe, SC1 is attempting to hack the main system. Triangulate the source and switch main communications to encrypted channels. I am still on route to the location of where I first encountered SC1."
antiaircraft
SC1 made and internal smirk as the Zzyzx technicians fell for his trick. As they shut down the mainframe, a program he had implanted sometime earlier linked the mainframe's command system to the backup and radio control computers, shutting them down as well and taking out the troopers' radio communications. He disconnected himself and continued towards the source of the explosion. As he drew closer, he began to hear screams.
Guest Levy
Ayde had finally caught up to SC1, and didn't waste time. As soon as she saw him she lept from the trees and hit him right in the back of the head, bringing him down. She stayed on his back while she activated an electro-magnet attached to her suit, and she placed the magnet on SC1's head, frying his electronic mind but leaving his human mind intact. "You forced me to do this SC1, you are only human now and you are unconscious." she said, getting herself up off of SC1's back and picking up his lifeless body. Guest Levy
Ayde switched to shortwave radio to speak to the stealth force, who haven't reported in for about 10 minutes, "Officer 05 reporting to stealth force, subject terminated, I am currently bringing the remains back to headquarters." Then she switched her radio to the encrypted radio link to Zzyzx, "Subject terminated, I am bringing the remains back to headquarters. The back up mainframe may have been corrupted due to subject's hacking abilities. I suggest switching the primary system on as there is no longer a need to have it on standby." With both SC1's biological mind and cybernetic mind incapacitated, all Ayde needed to do was walk back to Zzyzx. There was no reason to be on guard anymore. And her walk to base with SC1 was uneventful. Walking through the front door of the huge facility, she was relieved of the dead-weight over her shoulder as soon as a group of scientists rushed out with a stretcher. ((SC1 only messed up a back up system, the primary system was turned off while SC1 was loose.))
antiaircraft
SC1's backed-up cybernetic mind sent its signals out to computers around the world, burning itself into obscure sections of their memory, along with the simple set of instructions which it was following. After several minutes of searching, it located what it needed. A simulation program designed to replicate the input and output of SC1's neural network. It accessed the program and initiated it, and SC1's biological mind came to life again. ((SC1's biological body and mind were killed by the failsafe))
