This topic is self-explanatory I guess.

So to start off, has anyone scored more than nine goals? As far as I can tell, the enemy goalkeeper becomes perfect after that.

Posted

i can do that, keep swiping the ball off your enemy after they take it and you own them. seriously. swipe, move around the sides and shhot at the enemy goal. it can get 3-second goals.

There's a TDN guide chock full of lovely little tips. *tongue in cheek*

Well, my tactics are discussed there. So yeah. Go look. :P

Generally speaking, though, I wait till they have the ball at the start. Take it from the guy they pass it to at the back, get at an angle and shoot to the opposite corner. Works pretty much all the time. :)

Hmm... I still can't get past the goalie after I score nine goals. He moves just as fast as the Yooyu.

Posted

He is rather fast, yes.

I personally don't think it's possible, but nobody can really prove it is as the image can easily be edited.

If he moves as fast as the Yooyu, he can intercept it no matter what... why'd TNT do that?

I cant score period.XD

I have a question regarding scoring, not sure if this is right place to ask...

Ok, suppose your team wins 3-2... do you think submitting a score like that counts towards the other teams tally???

as in while u get 3 points, does the other team also get 2 points towards their total score??

coz if so, then wouldnt it be wiser only to submit scores that are: you win other team nil... eg. 3-0 or even 1-0...

something to think about....

Also do you think that TNT are gonna update scores daily, so that we can see where each team stands ?

Posted

if that is tru, its better to submit your score anyway :P It may raise the other team by 2 but it raises your team by 3 (ie, its the same as submitting when you win 1-0)

Posted

yeh, but then what if the other teams are sticking to "submit scores where only your team wins, then you are putting your team at loss by adding to their score while they are not adding to yours... get me

Posted

Well if you send a score that 2-3 for you, the two just cancells out, making it the same as if you won 1-0 right?

Posted

Big Cheese has a point there. Of course, you should never submit if you lose. The worst that can happen is that no one gets points, but it is possible for you to help the other team.

I score most often with the curving ones, though. I rarely score with balls that go straight.

Posted

I specialise with straight Yooyus, I'm really good at corner shots.

Posted

Yeah, I like the Fire ones, they go fast enough that even if you don't aim properly they still go in :P I'm pretty good with the normal ones too though. Mutant are okay as well - if you send them across the front of the goal they curve in, around the goalie.

My least favourite are the Faerie ones, I'm really bad at those, even worse than I am with the Darigan ones lol

I'm fine with everything but Darigan, I haven't scored with clockwork yet because I prefer to use it like a missile and watch it blow up the enemy players. :P

Just read this, which is quite important

Your contribution to your team's standings depends upon how well you play Yooyuball, with the calculation being based on the goal deficit for each game you play. If, for example, you send a winning score of 4 - 2, you will contribute 2 Yooyuball points to your team's daily score. If you send a winning score of 8 - 0, you will contribute 8 Yooyuball points to your team's daily score. Draws and losing scores are counted as zero Yooyuball points, so you definitely want to try to win.

So score 8 goals and your opposing team scored nada, you will contribute 8 points.

But if you scored 8, and your team scored 4, only 4 points be given.

I really, really hate the Snow ball - it goes so slowly that I actually have to run up and put it in the net, as opposed to my usual trick of corner shots.

Lol...me too, on the rare occasions it doesn't explode as soon as the game starts. I saw someone's screenie after having made a goal with it...dunno how they did it but kudos to them, I've never had it last more than 3 seconds or so.

I'm slowly getting better with Darigan now I know how it works, though it's probably still my least favorite (aside from the Robot just because it's basically a pointless time-waster); all the others I'm usually okay with. My problem's mostly just that I don't have very good aim -- never was any good at that geometry stuff. :P

For the people having trouble with the faerie ball (in addition to what TDN's lovely Yooyuball guide already recommends), I suggest shooting it in a straight shot from the center of the goal and about an inch to an inch-and-a-half or so away. To see what I mean, go to the guide and scroll down to the screenie that shows the Darigan ball going in a straight line -- the player with the ball is in almost exactly the right spot. That's the way that seems to work best, for me anyway; it has time to curve more than the goalie can anticipate but it's close enough that it doesn't just miss the goal entirely. I'm not saying it works every time, but I usually have pretty good luck shooting it that way.

The clockwork doesn't explose for me as soon as I get it... because I skip the kickoff (pressing space bar) and get the ball from all kickoff XD

Screenie here.

I got a faerie and darigan screenie too ;D

I'm okay with the ice Yooyu, as long as the other team's defense isn't too good, I can still get it in with a close corner shot.

Posted

Yeah, the ice yooyu can be managed... But you really have score from nearer.
