Ahem... Welcome to The Daily Neopets' No-Longer-Daily Report on the Altador Cup. I'm Miko. As you have probably noticed, there is a little drought of reports on the Altador Cup these few days. This is due to personal issues and the Staff Tests I'm buried under. But to make up for that, I'll be recapping on three days' worth of matches, so let's cut to the chase and go to Day 3 of Round 3!

Into the DustDuring Day 3, there were a few ups and downs, but the status quo for the Alabriss Bracket didn't change too much. Brightvale kicked things into high gear as they slaughtered Moltara in all four games with shocking margins. Lost Desert also kept up their tempo in their match against Terror Mountain, as they won 3 games to keep on pace with the leaders. But Kiko Lake wasn't able to slip past the strong defenses of Shenkuu as the Ninjas forced a tie.

Into the DustMinitheus Bracket started off with a sweep by Faerieland against Virtupets, who were once again introduced to the dustbin. Faerieland has been dealing performances that are more reminiscent of top level teams... Well, showed. Mystery Island continued to see wins as they knocked Meridell in all games except Shootout Showdown. Altador and Roo Island drew each other out in the final match of the bracket, leaving both teams steadily at the middle of the bracket.

In Vaeolus Bracket, Kreludor and Maraqua's recovery were steady but slow - leaving fans of the team with only ties against Darigan Citadel and Krawk Island respectively. And predictably, Tyrannia trounced the Zombies.

TakedownThe next day was more quiet, but that didn't stop surprises from showing their faces. But the tempo of the Alabriss Bracket went on as expected as Brightvale swept, Kiko Lake kept pace and the geological features drew each other out. No- The main action of the day happened at Minitheus Bracket where Meridell swatted away the Faeries in all games expect Slushie Slinger, bringing the Faeries' momentum to a crashing halt. And it wasn't the last trick that the Knights had up their sleeves. The other games went on quite as expected, with a sweep for the Altador Suns and a dominating win for the Mystery Island Natives.

Vaeolus Bracket didn't have any sweeps but there were quite some dominating wins. Darigan Citadel showed great potential in Yooyuball, but that did not extend to the other support games which allowed Krawk Island to clinch the win. Tyrannia was Tyrannia as they trampled past Maraqua. And Kreludor finally got something done - albeit that something was Haunted Woods.

And the final day of Round 3 gave us many many sweeps. Shenkuu and Brightvale trampled past Moltara and Lost Desert respectively; and Terror Mountain melted in the face of Kiko Lake.

Dance to VictoryMinitheus Bracket was once again throwing out surprises as Roo Island danced around Virtupets to win all the support games to take the win. Meridell continued their power charge as they overtook Altador. And though Faerieland's sudden top-tier play managed to bring Mystery Island's win streak to a halt, the Knights' last-second wins forced Faerieland to settle for third. Vaeolus Bracket ended predictably with triple sweeps - Maraqua dried up in the face of the Citadels' minions; Krawk Island swabbed Kreludor off their decks; and the less we talk about the Zombies, the better for them. They are already having a rough enough time this tournament.

Whew! That's three days' worth of games there. So sorry for the delay, dear viewers. But thankfully, my workload is finally letting up, so I'll be manning this wild ride once more as we go into Round 4. Until then, this is Miko signing off. Good Night Neopia!
