jaydeed
Your InSaNe! difficulty best time: 12 days, 5 hours, 19 minutes, 28 seconds. So exhausted. How does anyone do it in seven hours? Now, that's insane!I had masses of RE, including getting a MP worth 500k, so getting Sword of Apocalypse wasn't too disappointing. Now I can rest my aching wrist and get back to life as it is normally lived. Anyone else find it became addictive? mtsparky

fishstick013
Man, not looking forward to NQII. Still working on NQI on normal, and it's taken weeks. Howwwww do you do it?! Congratulations on finishing and the awesome RE!
jaydeed
Thank you both! I just got totally gritted teeth and determined to finish. I did it on Normal for the avvies and once you know the set up, each time gets easier. Insane was tricky because if they all die, game over, and I died four or five times before realizing I had to be patient, level way up, not be afraid to flee/heal mid-battle. Once you get Velm, you're pretty much safe. I work from home as a writer so had all day to play it, from 8 til 5. Now I'm wondering whether to tackle NQ1 on Evil and Insane but maybe not just yet. Seven hours though; even skipping optional bosses, never wasting time with talking to people, it doesn't seem physically possible to me but eh, people find ways. Good luck on your games! It helps if you use a guide/maps; i couldn't have done it without the Jellyneo maps and Winnie's guide.
Nielo
Congrats! By the way, where can you view how long it took you to complete it? (And is it possible to check this for NQ1 as well?) I've been working on NQ1 in insane mode, and I definitely recognise the whole having to be patient thing! Evil was fine, but insane really lives up to its name. coley
Congrats! I'm working on getting through Evil right now. And I agree, Winnie's guide is awesome! Evil is pretty annoying to me because it takes so much longer than it used to to get through the small battles of the game. Each "monster" has about 100 extra hp. Not looking forward to Insane! You click "Options" during NQ2 gameplay to see your times. I'm not entirely sure about NQ1, I can't find it anymore. :/

I haven't been able to find it on NQ1 either, so maybe it's only available on NQ2.
jaydeed
I found Insane on NQ2 to have a period in Terror Mountain where leveling up took forever, then suddenly things speeded up and by Faerieland, I was getting a new level really fast. But I resigned myself to staying around the Adventurers Camp for ages and mindlessly battling to get to the point where I could go through the cave without dying instantly. My tip is slog through those early chapters without rushing and be really prepared for the later bosses. Then they're surprisingly easy. It helped that i was better at spending my skill points; I wasted them on Normal/Evil b/c I didn't quite grasp the best way to assign them. With Mipsy, i'd max out group Damage, not Direct Damage; sure you can only hit 64, not 100, but when you're against 4 opponents, 4 x 64 is a big way toward winning a battle when you do it four or five times.
