aminoshiki
Is there any way to see how much time is left on a trade? I know I can cancel it anytime, but I can't remember when I put it up. Basically I got an offer, but I kind of want to wait a teeny tiny bit to see if I can get a better offer. But I don't want to wait too long and have the trade time out. I can't figure out when that will be, though.
Scoobert_Doo
Hmm...Not sure about this one, and I am definitely not an expert on the Trading Post. It seems lots do not have dates or times on them, but from what I read on JN, trades will expire in two weeks time. A bit tedious, but, maybe, you can search your browser's history to find the page and date when you created the trade. That is the best I can think of. Hopefully, someone else will post, if they have more/better info.
aminoshiki
Unfortunately my browser's history gets wiped every time I quit and restart the browser, or at least any time I turn my computer on and off. My laptop is suuuuper old and I haven't been able download the latest browser updates for a while now, so that might have something to do with it =[ Otherwise that would have been a perfect solution! I definitely wouldn't have minded the tediousness =/
ixi_lover_ixi
Try searching for a common item in your trade; see how many trades are before yours, or click on Newest 20 and compare the trade IDs of yours and the top one. It could help you figure out when it was posted, but it might be a little complicated.
Scoobert_Doo
I know it doesn't help now, but you can configure most browsers to keep history or delete all history when closed, even the "old" ones. I understand that may be your preference (to delete all history when closed), but you might want to check, if it is not. Another possibility, for the future, is to use the Neomail "Diary" function. You can create a "reminder" for two weeks later, when you setup a trade and delete it later or when you complete the trade. The "diary" is rudimentary, but it could help. Just a thought. aminoshiki
I ended up accepting the trade because I got paranoid. lol. Ixi Lover: I tried to check but there were only three listings of the item and mine was the most recent. Scoobert: I checked all my browser settings. It's weird because some days it saves, others it won't. Totally random. And I'm the only one who ever touches this laptop. I didn't even know the diary existed. I will definitely use it for next time, considering this seems to be a recurring issue for me! Thank you super much! :laughingsmiley:
