Clever way to change species and keep the coloring?

I can't believe this happened! It's a long term goal of mine to have a stealth Gelert. I think they're the baddest looking thing ever made. I want one realllllly badly. So I made a Gelert awhile ago and started saving up those millions for that expensive PB.

I have a meerca that I zap in the lab. Two days ago he got turned into a stealth meerca!! I couldn't believe it!

I've been searching for a way to turn my stealth meerca into a Gelert WITHOUT changing his color. I've never used morphing potions so I've been doing some reading about those, but it looks they those always change the pets color. Does anyone know of a clever way to change my meerca into a Gelert while keeping the color?

There are a few items that can change the species of a pet randomly and/or color, but none are able to give you a Stealth Gelert or change the species to a Gelert. No luck ;-;

Oh no!  I was afraid this was going to be the answer.  I can't believe how close I was to accomplishing my goal.

Welp.  Back to saving.

I don't think there is a way without changing the color...Every time the lab ray changes the species, it also changes it into a basic color (...and he turns into a red gelert!!! or ...and she turns into a yellow ixi!!!).  It never changes species without changing into one of the four basic colors...  I'm sorry, but I don't think there is a way.

What a coincidence, I am also obsessed with the Stealthy Gelert and am saving up for the paint brush! In my opinion the Gelert just looks so much better in that color than the other species do... looks like a ninja assassin  :laughingsmiley:
