Bucket List.

I'm in the process of leaving Neopets.  :sad01_anim:

I've cleared out my SDB, gallery & closet &  turned my usul into a plushie usul so I could bear to put her in the pound. 

And in trying to use up my savings, I've done all the things I kinda wanted to do, but never did, because I always saved my neopoints. 

I've bought the lab map, and zapped my temporary gelert every day. I've been spinning the Wheel of Extravagance extravagantly every day. I've hatched a draik egg and painted it. (I'll pound it once it's old enough.) I've completed the Original Treasure Map and the Spooky Treasure Map. I've played Brucey B slots until I got bored, and bought many, many discovered treasure chests and opened them all. 

 

Any other suggestions for Neopian bucket list activities?

Maybe don't completely leave? I left and came back 3 years later and wish I could have my old account back.

 

But as for what I would do, i would buy the 14th Birthday Goodie Bag as many times as I could in attempts at getting a birthday petpet because I love the way they look and am too broke to afford them :)  And personally I like opening up things to see what I got.

Maybe buy something from The Hidden Tower (http://www.neopets.com/faerieland/hiddentower938.phtml) in Faerieland? That is something I'd (like to) do.

If I were to decide that I was definitely leaving forever, I would go to Zapping Your Dream Pets and buy some paintbrushes to grant wishes.  Even if I did decide to come back, I wouldn't feel so bad about starting over knowing I had used my np to make people happy.

 

I've spent a lot of time looking at petpets and trying to pick the perfect ones for my pets, so I would buy a bunch of them and paint them the colors that I've always wanted.  Then, assuming it isn't against the rules, I'd go on the neoboards and do a Post Your Dream PetPet to give them out, since it wouldn't be all that satisfying to try to sell them.

Sadly real life is happening & I'd feel bad about neglecting my usul: I'd rather leave. (I don't think anyone who doesn't have a neopet would understand that.)

 

If I can come back, I'm happy to start fresh. 

 

Thanks for all the suggestions - I've offered on some birthday goodie bags - the hidden tower is closed for stocktaking, but I'll do that later, and I'm reading the ZYDP FAQs. (I got another pirate draik negg in one of the discovered treasure chests, so that works well.)

Real life happens. It's always going to happen. But Neopets is there for you to pick up whenever you feel like it, whenever you need it. I came back after years. A frequently take months or weeks off. My pets might get hungry, if that interim also means not putting them in the Hotel once a month (which, I try to do) but it's not required. None of my pets turned blue or did anything wonky in that time I was gone. Starting fresh can be hard, but if you want to, that doesn't mean letting the other one die. Just mark your current as a gallery account, and let it hang out while you work on your new one, if that's what you wish. I just don't want you to regret ditching all the stuff you worked hard on if/when you do come back!
