Grave Danger--does petpet level matter?

I was using a level 5 petpet for Grave Danger and most of the time, the wait times averaged 6-7 hours, sometimes a little less. But I switched to a level 1 quadrapus to get the avatar, and suddenly the waits are usually 8 or 9 hours.

 

So I'm wondering--are higher level petpets more efficient at making it through the catacombs? (It would make sense....)

Is it just random? Or is "Slimey the Quadrapus" just really, really slow?

I believe it is random, I use the same petpet and I get a variety of different times. I guess it probably all depends on your luck.

Interesting question. I don't have any inside info. My wait times range from 6 to 8 hours alternating between using a level 1 and a level 4 petpet. I have longer or shorter times with both of them, so I don't see a difference, it seems to be random.

Thanks for everyone's input. I just tried again....8 hours, 58 minutes with my quadrapus. Sigh. I think I'll try another petpet and see if the times improve.

I used to have a petpet that was really old (couple thousand hours old) that averaged 5-6 hour runs. After I changed the pet it was assigned to, it went to 7-8 or even 9 hour runs. I've switched it back to the original pet it was on and now I have 6-8 hour runs. I think it has to do with how old the petpet is and not the level since this petpet has only ever been level 1.
