Illusens Staff/Wand of the Dark Faerie

If you had both Illusens Staff and the Wand of the Dark Faerie both going at the same time would they heal you 45% of your total HP repeatedly? Or does only one work at a time. Could you theoretically have two Wand of the Dark Faeries going and heal 50% when you get low?

That's a good question. I checked the entries for both weapons, and neither say anything in the item description about only having one or the other equipped. So I suppose theoretically, you COULD equip both and maybe heal with both in the same round.

 

I'm not sure about 2 Wand of the Dark Faeries, but maybe. I've never gotten far enough in the quests to get either item, so it's just speculation on my part. lol

 

Still, a FULL healer would be MUCH cheaper than buying even one Illusens Staff or Wand of the Dark Faerie. ;) Even with the offense, you could buy a G-Sword or Sword of White Lies for less, and they do some pretty major damage too. ;)

What got me thinking about it was the fact that they're both pretty strong weapons AND multiple healers so my original thought was that if two opponents both had both weapons (and high hit points) could the fight just never end?

 

Although now that I think about it, if each opponent only had one or the other weapon the neverending battle might still be possible if both opponents had enough hit points that the attacks were weaker than 20% of their total hit points. Its the multiple use healing part that intrigues me. But you're right, Aquamentis, about it being quite cost prohibitive. Any thoughts?

Well, I'm not certain if this would work. But I wonder if it's possible to equip two of the Sword of Lameness, and test out that theory on possible multiple healing? LOL I wouldn't waste the np trying though, even for the price of two of the Sword of Lameness. Unless someone were an uber-rich neopian, and was REALLY bored. lol

 

The query for me, is we've got all 3 items classified as healers as well. So perhaps 1 of any of these 3 items would count as a healer? Thus restricting the equipping to 1. However, unlike the entry for the Everlasting Crystal Apple, which can be used to heal 30hp multiple times in battle. For the 3 Weapons, there isn't an icon signalling that only 1 may be equipped.

 

It's a very interesting prospect. One that would be really useful, if possible, during a war plot!

One Wand activates first before the second does. That means that if you are above 20 / 25% (depending on which weapon you had) the second would not activate because your hp would not be low enough for the effect to activate. However, if you were to use Illusen's Staff while <5% & then use the Dark Faerie Wand then you would be healed the 45%
