I've been playing Neopets on and off since 2004, my most current account being my greatest achievement. I came back from a pretty long hiatus just a couple months ago, and am looking to expand my account, and improve it further! TDN forums is a great place to touch base with, it's SO much easier to find information & keep up with what's going on than following the neoboards. We're also very friendly, and always trying to answer each other's questions. You said you're looking to improve you account, which area are you interested in improving first?
