WhiteWolf
Ever have one of those days where "bad day" doesn't even begin to cover it? That's me today. First, I missed the 9:30 bus to work. That turned out to be Fate warning me of what was to come. I even joked to my fiance that "If that's a sign of things to come, maybe I should stay home". It was, and I should have. On the train, I get a text from my boss asking if I'm going to be in today. I told him I was on my way. At work, I get through two-thirds of the work on my desk (which is pretty darn good on any day). After work, I have go to the bank. I find myself waiting for my fiance on the train platform (public transportation) more than half an hour. By the time he gets there, there's a meager 13 minutes before the bank closes. A three block walk to the bank in eight minutes and 80-degree weather is not fun! We get locked in, and they have to let us out! You can imagine my blood pressure by now. We did a little shopping. He then tells me that an aunt of his passed away. We all knew she was sick, but his family had hoped for one last Thanksgiving with her. At this point, I may skip going to the gym tomorrow. Trade that for a couple hours at the mall getting makeup, shoes, and whatever else I need to finish my dark faerie costume. If you made it to the end of my venting, thank you. carlyle
I had some bad days myself, but I never had a family member die on me and I never hear about the really distant ones. I find that the only thing you can really do about unfortunate events is to bear with them. I don't feel comfortable or satisfied when I lose my temper, so I do my best to control it. If skipping the gym for one day is not serious and if you would really enjoy doing so during that time, then I would say go for finishing your costume! I might be rude for asking, but I would like to see pictures of the costume you plan to make on a mannequin or something like that. I've never seen anyone cosplay a Neopets character and I've never googled it (I shouldn't, right?)! :P

chubit
Definitely take the day off! Just make sure you don't pig out too much (I always used to make that mistake when skipping exercise, I'd write the entire day off & then feel guilty about it) But ick, what a horrid day. That really is a bad day! I hope things go better today. ((hugs)) Hey Angela! Fancy meeting a fellow Caprice person here on TDN ^^.

I'm definitely going to post them. This is my first attempt at a cosplay outfit, and the dress is far from perfect. It's a black witch costume that I'm modifying for a dark faerie costume. I have wings, makeup, purple gloves, and a black wig. Can a dark faerie wear black and purple? I traded my gym work-out for the mall. I got new slippers, makeup, and white cream makeup for the costume. I intend to mix the purple and white makeup until I get the right shade of lavender for the skin. Depending on how this turns out, I may go as another faerie or a character from Bleach next year.
