ALP Pet Chains Temporarily Suspended

Due to the glitches Neopets is currently experiencing, particularly those that affect the transfer system, the Pet Chains will not be running until further notice.

 

Pet chain applications will still be processed as normal, site speed allowing, but no chains will run. This means that the October chains will be postponed, and any Battle or Pea lends set to happen in October will be put on hold.

 

Pea and Battle lends will resume as soon as the site is functional again, while the normal chains will either start mid-month or be postponed until November depending on when the site is fixed.

 

Everyone currently in an October chain will receive a neomail with this information.

I'm supposed to be receiving a transfer (not from ALP) at the beginning of the month :x - what happened to the transfer system?

It's best that you stoped the chains until neopets get fixed. It will be awful if something got lost in the process.

Don't apologize! I mean we are already very very grateful for the existence of the chain. It's not TDN's fault that Neopets is STILL(mind-you) glitchy!

I agree with lianakos, it would be very terrible if something happened to anything (pet/items alike) in the x-fer process. Post-pone as long as needed.

Was about to apply for a chain today, glad I looked here first xD

But I understand it as well, I've been iffy myself on lending or trying to trade pets due to all the glitches.

You can still apply if you want to, it'll just apply to the nebulous "whenever the chains next run" instead of a specific month. I just need the site to load at some point and be able to send neomail to process applications, so those can keep being checked.

 

Also please apply if you're interested the current chain set is ridiculously tiny if it stays this way I'd be running just 5 of our 12 chains, most of them right at the minimum.

Is there any news on re-starting the ALP pet chains?

The site has managed to largely re-stabilize, but as I know TNT is still working on various bug fixes and the site is still occasionally keeling over like a Homestuck update, I'm going to wait until November to run the main chains. I may get Pea and Battle going again before then based on site stability and any updates that are directly about the pound/transfers, but expect the bulk of Pet lending to come back Nov 1.

I see there a a couple of you waiting for the Pea Chia lend - I have the pet, but am still trying to locate attack pea to equip it with :(
