kaybee92
Thank you, Angeló! Croatia is a very skilled team, but often underestimated. We've had problems with them before. In the 2006 World Cup, our very first match was against Croatia too, and we struggled VERY hard to get a measly 1x0. They're good I tell you! (and handsome, but anyways :* ) So tomorrow we have... *checks schedule* Mexico x Cameroon, Chile x Australia, and the high-expectations Spain x Netherlands! It's Friday the 13th though, I wonder if it'll be a bad day? :P ps: Here's a very interesting chart with 19 countries' opinions on favourite teams, teams they'll root against, and teams who play the most beautiful soccer. I gotta tell you Brazil is shining bright! :D First off I cried SO HARD with the Chile video. I remember crying when they were rescuing those guys. The guy speaking was the one who made sure to ration the supplies they had left, wrote the "estamos bien los 33" (we are well the 33 of us), generally took care of everyone, and offered to be the last person out of the mine. Croatia was SO good, I was shocked. Also dibs on #7 to be my BF. As a Mexican, I hope we don't have too much trouble with Cameroon, but I don't know how we'll fare against Croatia! I'm hoping for a tie with them. leverhelven
Angeló
#7 ?? ivan rakitic ??!! he signed with barceloana last week he's so good !! i predict Mexico 2 - Cameroon 1 Spain 2 - Holland 0 Chile 4 - Australia
Coco
I'm from the Philippines so I don't really have a home country to cheer for. Haha. And I don't really follow football so I will shamelessly watch for the international eye candy. :P That said, I'm rooting for Spain, Argentina, Mexico, and Portugal! I remember staying up late just to watch them being rescued (it began at around midnight according to the time in Brazil). I'm gonna root for Chile so hard when they play today! <3 I hope you guys have a nice result against Cameroon today, though I still resent Mexico for taking our gold medal in the last Olympic Games... We lost the final match to you, and the most ironic thing about it was that I actually was AT a Mexican restaurant while watching the game... surrounded by Mexicans... so I couldn't even swear at them... Had to keep quiet and leave discreetly in shame... LOLOLOL :D :D
voteforpedro333
It looks like Mexico and Cameroon are playing in some incredibly heavy rain. And they keep getting offsides and it's not even halftime yet. Got my Spain jersey on today to cheer them on!

Although a Holland loss would really help Chile out. Also yes Mr. Rakitic can do whatever he wants to me whenever he wants. And you were nearly right with the Mexico - Cameroon game, it should have been a 3-1 but the ref kept saying goals weren't goals -_-
HomuraAkemiTheHero
I'm not sure when the footage from FIFA is going to air but I'm definitely watching to see Japan's 2014 mascots. This year they are going to have Pikachu from Pokemon and various other pokemon from the series as mascots this year.

leverhelven
Aaaaaand Spain got soundly crushed...their defenders didn't even exist in this game. DX WOW! Who would have thought it, right?! Talk about a Dutch avenge! :D Holland is gonna cause us problems again, I can feel it... Watching Chile x Australia right now. Super happy that Chile is winning! Never cared for the Australian team. They also annoy me because their uniform colours look so similar to Brazil's, hahahaha :P
Angeló
The ref of the Mexico games was a complete idiot !! Spain vs Holland .. I can't even speak .. I'm still in shock !! SAINT IKER sent Spain to Hell !! not to mention the old slow Alonso and Xavi ... and the non-existent Ramos ... and the attackers ? Nothing !! Costa , Pedro , Torres .. just names .. no action !! The only ones who played a bit well are Iniesta and David Silva Happy for Chile .. Australia should stop qualifying to the World Cup .. but then , their replacement would be Saudi Arabia .. which is worse. leverhelven
leverhelven
The ref of the Mexico games was a complete idiot !! Yeah, right? At least one of those goals was valid for SURE. But then again, Brazil's penalty yesterday was also non-existant, so who am I to complain I guess... Was Gerard Piqué (aka Shakira's husband) playing? I know he's a great player, but I don't recall seeing him at the match. Loved Chile's 3rd goal right by the end. They deserved it! :D So let's see what we've got for tomorrow... *checks schedule* Wow, 4 matches in a day! Colombia x Greece; Ivory Coast x Japan (can't resist rooting for the underdogs. Go Ivory Coast! :D ); Uruguay x Costa Rica; England x Italy (now THAT'S gonna be a beautiful match! Well, I hope...).
Angeló
Pique was playing but yeah he wasn't even noticeable.
leverhelven
I have the perfect photo for Piqué's performance today... "You gotta be kidding me, GeeGee." ps: I know this is not a picture from today's game, but it's funny nonetheless! :D
kaybee92
I'm acting like the ref for Mexico's game doesn't exist. Dude better watch out or the cartels are gonna get him hahahaha that's a horrible joke, I know, but at least one of those wasn't offsides. Queen Shakira rules all. For tomorrow I'm saying Colombia, Japan, Costa Rica, and Italy. I may be totally wrong tho lol. leverhelven
Coco
I was rooting for Spain but I have to give props to The Flying Dutchman, RVP! Hahaha. That match was hard to watch. Sucks to be Casillas right now. Commentary couldn't stop pointing out his faults. It's okay, Spain. You're still the hottest team in this tournament. <3 And wow, the ref was really unfair towards Dos Santos. I can understand why the second "goal" was questionable but the first one was clear as day. Mexico should've been /at least/ 2-0. :/ They show the games at 12 MN and 3 AM here. So after ESPvsNED, I got so tired and depressed, I didn't wanna watch Chile's match anymore. :| I'll just catch the replay later. leverhelven
leverhelven
For tomorrow I'm saying Colombia, Japan, Costa Rica, and Italy. I may be totally wrong tho lol. I agree with all but Costa Rica. Uruguay is a traditional team, they've got two Cup victories (even though it was a LOOOONG time ago, lol), I think they're definitely more prepared! :D I'm gonna watch the Japan x Ivory Coast match in pain... Japan is probably gonna win, but I SO wish Ivory Coast would!

leverhelven
*cough* You were sayin'? Haha just kidding! But I really wanted to see a Costa Rica win and I'm so happy it happened. Oh my!!! Only now did I notice they won!! Last time I turned on the TV, the match was still on and it was Uruguay 1 x 0 Costa Rica... Well, hasn't that come back to bite me in the patootie :P Just finished watching England x Italy. I wouldn't like to see Italy win the Cup, because then Brazil wouldn't be the only 5-times-champion, but I was SO rooting for them in this match!!! Gotta love Italy, Balotelli is the one to be! Man do I like him and his life story! :)
kaybee92
Yup just got done watching the game. At least the refs were tons better than yesterday! IDK who ref'd this game but I want them for Mexico's games!
leverhelven
Japan x Ivory Coast is on now... Japan is currently leading. Gah... I want Ivory Coast to win! :sad02: And wow, talk about some tense last minutes in the Italy x England game, huh? England tried so hard to tie. I was biting my nails from nervousness, I didn't want them scoring in any way! And when the referee gave 5 minutes more I was like COME ON! WHO GIVES FREAKIN' FIVE MINUTES?! Guess he was enjoying the match and didn't want it to end... :P

leverhelven
WOW!!! In just 5 minutes the Ivory Coast managed to turn the game!!! AMAZING!!! Did you see their goals? One right after the other, and both very similar!! GO IVORY COAST!!! :D :D
kaybee92
Well, I got 3/4 right today...would never have seen Japan's loss coming!
Coco
Ahhhh, England played so well, though. Despite the loss. For most of the match, at least. Then I guess they kinda gave up towards the end. They had a lot of missed opportunities, only scoring one out of the 18 shots made. Still gonna support the Three Lions, though. Hope they don't go home early! I'm SO excited for Argentina's match because 1.) I love Argentina and its history (Eva Peron is my favorite historical figure), 2.) Lionel Messi! Also excited for Germany vs. Portugal! Sounds like a great match-up and I hope they don't disappoint.
wolfponies
Wii Italy won :D Only watched the first half and I thought Italy's play was far more creative. It sure was an enjoyable game though! I hope Bosnia beats Argentina simply because I can't stand Mr. ego-Messi. Back when I was a filly I used to root for Argentina but not today! I hope Ecuador beats Switzerland and Honduras beats France. leverhelven
