So my dad has gone into hospital before for heart problems, but it's always been acid reflux. Today he's actually had a heart attack, and is in surgery right now. I am absolutely terrified right now, as even more because I have to stay with my parents dogs whilst my my mum is with him. Just need to actually say something to someone before I completely lose it. Thanks for reading and listening xx

Good wishes toward your dad! Is your mom texting/calling to update?

If he goes to the hospital a lot, it sounds like he tends to catch things at the beginning rather than waiting. So that sounds like he has the type of caution it takes to make sure he gets through this.

Good luck to all of you.

Oh my! That's such a difficult situation. I wish you all the best. At least, as far as I know, the older the person is, the easier it is for them to survive a heart attack (yes, it sounds weird, but there's a whole Biological explanation to it that I wouldn't be able to provide right now, but it's true!). Stay strong!

Wow really? I never knew that! Thanks, I will :)

Yeah, she's been texting/ringing every time something has happened or changed bless her. Yeah, he's been in a few times for his heart, and a couple times for pneumonia too. Thanks, I feel we need it!

Stay strong! I know how hard it is to have a loved one in the hospital. I'll keep you in my thoughts and pray for your dad's health.

*many, many hugs*

My dad caught some sort of bug back in December and for some reason (it might have been because he coughed up blood), they were concerned about his heart. I know how hard it is to stay home by yourself during a situation like that. I enjoyed my "mini vacation" with the cats; but at the same time, there was a lot of, "What's going on? Is everything going to be okay?" going around in the back of my mind. (I extremely dislike my mother, but I was calling her and keeping her updated. That's how much I was worried!)

In retrospect, I can't believe I still went and took my pharmacy technician boards the day he got out of the hospital. There was just so much going on that week with him and work and the boards that I'm amazed I didn't lose my mind. O.o

We're here to stand beside you, though, Caleew. The advantage to a community like TDN is that you'll always have support when times get rough. *more hugs*

I'm so sorry to hear about your father. I do hope everything will be alright in your family in the end. Stay strong and think positive! In the meantime, have a cuddle with the doggies you are with. Pets can calm our nerves and their companionship can really make us feel better. You have all of us here at TDNF sending love and light your way! xx

I know how hard it can be to have a loved one who isn't well. My grandmother was in the hospital two weeks ago for surgery, and it was really upsetting. Thankfully her surgery went well, and she seems to be on the road to a full recovery. I hope the same happens for your dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family *hugs*
