Avie hunting

So the past couple of days I've been getting my avatar count up and now I've set my mind on the "Drackonack - Hungry" avie.
I have the proper items, and I've refreshed often. But the blasted thing won't eat the cheese.
How long did it cost you to get the avie? Is there anything I can do to speed it up?

It took me weeks of refreshing non stop for hours. I'd sometimes just sit staring at my screen refreshing, I took my laptop with me to refresh when I was watching tv without even paying attention to my screen, i re organized the cheese several times just because that seemed to work for some people. Probably took me around two months or so before I got that stubborn drackonack to eat a cheese. I started out with like 20 cheese and the petpet in my inventory, then when I switched em around I had 9 cheeses, then some other time I had 6. When I actually had him eat it, I only had two cheeses in my inventory. I also heard that it helps to go cheese - drackonack - cheese

I arranged mine like this:

I just held the refresh button down for about ~ 10-20 seconds. I checked my preferences and I got it. Same goes for all the other refreshing avvies, just hold down that F5 button! :)

This one is just pure chance and luck.

 

When I lend for this avatar, I've had members get the avatar within minutes to days or more. Personally, I got insanely lucky and didn't even have to refresh. I removed the items from my SDB, went to my inventory, and there was the avatar notification.

However, this still took me a few days to get...I refreshed like crazy for a few days and when I finally gave up I got it. I didn't get the avie notification though.

It was very difficult for me to get that avie until I read a post about it and the suggestion about Soft White Cheese. I bought it and after some refresh and changing the itens around I got it quickly. Between a lot of cheese items I putted cheese- drackonack- soft white cheese- vegan cheese. hope that helps :)

That's what worked for me ^^^

And I only had that in my inventory with the Drackonack, none of the other cheese items.
