Magma Pool

I let my peophin swim in the magma pool after I got all my worms. Now, as cool as I thought it might look, she doesn't look so pretty anymore. Is there a way for me to change her back without paying? Also, would I be able to keep the access to the Magma Pool if I were to change my pet's color?

Thanks for anyone who answers!

We have an article explaining how the pool works here. It's worth noting that all neopets can be painted over with a new colour, no matter their previous colour.

There are different ways to change a pet's colour. Yes, there are a couple Random Events that can change your pet's colour. The most "common"(though they're all fairly rare) turn your pet Baby or Invisible. There are also ones that can change your pet blue, red or a random colour. However, these are fairly rare and, as the name implies, random, so you have little control over them.

Other ways to change a colour are Paint Brushes and Morphing Potions. These do not always have to be purchased. Games like Keyquest and some of the Wheels of Neopia award Paint Brushes or Morphing Potions as prizes. Additionally, depending on the colour and species you want to make your pet, a morphing potion or paint brush can be quite cheap, so it's not always terribly expensive to buy one to turn your pet back to the colour you want. Ogrins, for examply, are very cheap to morph basic colours (less than 5,000 np). Basic colour Uni potions and a select number of orange potions for a few species are also quite cheap. There are many paint brushes that are fairly inexpensive as well, due to having been given out from site events. Off the top of my head, snow paint brushes are rather low priced right now, and biscuit, ghost, starry, invisible, glowing, speckled, cloud, Tyrannian, striped and camouflage brushes can usually all be bought for under 50k.

If you have access to the Lab, you could also zap for a colour change, but it can also change your species and stats, as its effects are random.
