Talk like a Pirate Day???

I went onto the Neopets forums and noticed that everything people are saying sounds like pirates. Are they themselves choosing to talk like pirates or is neopets imposing a pirate-talk filter? Does neopets every impose filters for other purposes?

Today is national talk like a pirate day, so that is probably why.

Yeah, it's a pirate talk filter :) I don't think they do it for any other occasions... I quite enjoy it personally, I find it quite amusing :P

I suspect it's a Neopets filter. I know they filter on April Fools Day so that people can't spoil the joke, and you can't mention Jellyworld (or link to it) on the Neoboards.

 

Krispy Kreme is giving out free doughnuts for talking like a pirate (and a free dozen for dressing like one). Alas, the scurvy knaves don't have a watering hole in my port, and 'twould be too long a voyage across treacherous seas to get to the nearest one.
