Strength of Mind boon not working?

Did anyone else pick this boon and could tell me whether or not they're experiencing something similar?

 

The image for the ability isn't actually working and looks like this:

 

 

but more importantly it doesn't seem to actually do anything. When I select that ability, not only does it not increase my strength boost.. none of the rest of my attack goes through at all.

 

My pets strength is 82 and his intelligence is 167 if that helps.. I might have misunderstood what this boon is supposed to do so I thought I'd check here before reporting it :p

I think I noticed when using it that it did 40 light damage, which my opponent (Jetsam Ace) completely blocked. I don't have a weapon with such iconage (I wish :D) so I only assumed it was the ability...

Ah, my opponent was also Jetsam Ace so maybe that was it. Though I did look at the log and it didn't say that I used the ability or any of my weapons at all :(

Yes, mine didn't list the ability either, but my eyes were drawn to the 40 blocked light icons on his side of the log. It took me a second to realise that I can't achieve that usually :D

I took another look today, it looks like I'm not even doing any damage that could be blocked

 

I guess it's just me, then :(

Oh no.. I'm sorry to hear that. :( I was gonna choose that one as well but I end not picking it.

 

I picked the "right round round round" boon for the second time and it's not very helpful for the avatar hunting.. Bummer.

I got the same problem too! Sorry that I dug up this old topic, but I will be happy to know if anyone have a solution or some explanation of the situation.

Yeah, same here. It's very frustrating to waste a boon on something that doesn't work...

I chose that boon as well, I thought it was working. Lemme check *hops off to beat something up*

 

EDIT: I'm pretty sure that it is working. I caused 288 damage to the Koi Warrior in one turn which wouldn't have been possible without the boon, as I only have two Golden Compasses weapon-wise. This was the second battle though, the first it didn't seem to work, so maybe it's just intermittent?

I'm fairly certain it's working. My regular damage with a combination of KBT & PCC averages around ~470, using Strength of Mind, it goes to roughly ~580. My regular strength boost is at 12, with Strength of Mind it's at max of 16. My pet's STR is 563, INT at 1280. The icon might not work, but the ability does.

 

Have you guys checked your strength boosts? Are you sure it's not close to your pets' intelligence? That may be a factor in why you're not seeing the difference in damage between your regular attacks and with Strength of Mind.
