Do goals count?

Now I know the amount of goals on Yooyuball supposedly helps your team, but they do not help your rank. However, do you get more prize points or anything else by making more goals?

I have no idea but I'd be interested in finding out! I thought the number of prize points you get relates to your rank, but it makes sense if it's tied in with the number of goals too (or the scores for the other games) since the more goals you get the better off you team is.

No you don't. The GPG is just to show how good you are at making goals. And also, the more goals, the less time needed to finish 1 game of YYB.

You get 12 prize shop points per win. You could win a game 3-2 or 14-0, either way, you get 12 prize shop points.

Skirmish here is right. Everytime a goal is scored (you or the opposing team), eight seconds are shaved off the clock so it's beneficial in that regard. Try to get as many goals as you can, even if they don't necessarily change your point gain.
