I've got an adoption problem :(

I spent np's on a cheap PB (christmas) and painted my grundo this didnt have any more nps for anything else. Her name is grondes, and thats a real word name, I even worked on her stats a bit.

 

I have been trying for a week to find someone to adopt her, or trade her for a basic, unpainted pet if they didnt have room. Nobody want her. If I pound her, she loses clothing, and I wasted all my np's, not something I want to do.

 

So I have a problem becuase nobody wants to adopt her to keep, and now i'm upset because of the nps I spent to paint her and make her adoptable. I never had a pet I couldnt find a home for, until now. :(

Perhaps you could pound her and check back later to see who has adopted her. You could drop them a neomail asking if they'd like you to transfer the clothing over if they want it?

Grundos are not overly popular as species. Christmas is a cheap paint job. Add to that the fact that many people are name picky and will turn down a pet if its name is not capitalised.

 

If you plan to keep your other Grundo (princess), then I'd advise pounding since you will be keeping the clothes for your other pet.

I have been thinking of ideas.

 

I could morph it to poogle and paint it tyrannian. won the potion from negg cave and Tyrannian PB from battling. grondes (her name) means to rumble, roar; to growl so it fits Tyrannian color. Or morph grundo tyrannian.

 

Or I could save for a better PB, what semi cheap PB color is popular and looks good for grundos?

Do you have access to the lab map? That's by far the cheapest way to change your pet, albeit the randomness of it. If not, I would skip on using the Poogle MP - they're not a very popular species unless it's a lab-only colour, or a very expensive colour. Unfortunately, grundos are an unpopular species altogether, and the only popular colour combination for a grundo would be Halloween (it's still over 1mil for a PB, though) so that's my suggestion :)

Well "semi-cheap" could mean very different things from person to person, but, lets say you want to stay within the 100k range then you have the option of a lot more colors than you think. For instance, the glowing PB is super cheap (17k) and looks good on Grundo's since they are "alien" and the glowing pb tends to make them look even moreso alien. :) I don't think you would have a problem adopting out your grundo painted this color on the neoboards as I'm sure a lot of new players would jump at the chance for a glowing grundo. :) There's also the cloud pb which is more expensive at 37k, but IMO doesn't look suite the pet as well as glowing. Then there's the Scritchy Sketchy Paint Brush at 69k; snow at 11k, split at 93k, starry at 27k, striped at 46k (another good choice, as it looks cute to me, but so does starry)

 

What you are doing is a nice thing, so if I were you I would paint the pet glowing (if you like the way it looks) you can take a look here: http://www.neopets.com/pool/all_pb.phtml?f_species_id=17

and then advertise on the neboards. Someone should adopt right away. Not everyone will be name-picky. I think the only thing holding you back from finding a suitable home is the Christmas paintbrush (most don't want christmas painted pets unless it's Decemeber) so I think you stand a good chance going with the glow. :D

 

I'm hoping that gave you a few good ideas. Look at them all at the rainbow pool before you decide.

If it were me personally, I'd paint glow or striped. That way you keep the christmas clothes for your other grundo for when the season comes around and you find grondes a new home. :)
