quest
Hi guys, the speculation of an incoming war plot has caused the codestones to skyrocket in prices. I don't think it is economically viable to train now, but are my stats enough to pull through the battles? My battle pet is a lutari. Level: 54 Health:108 Strength: 108 Defence: 106 My current set Downsize Kelpbeard trident Altador cup throwing star Ghoskerbomb Randomly firing freeze ray Sophies magic hat Leaf shield Greater healing scroll
General Technology
Hey man! What's up? :D May I ask how much you are willing to spend? Currently, your pet is pretty much balanced and it'll do well if there is a plot/war. Your set is pretty nice. It's all pretty much right. Kelpbeards Trident, Ghostkeromb, Randomly Firing Freeze Ray, Downsize! are pretty much keepers. Greater Healing Scroll is alright for you because it heals half your HP, but I'll suggest you get a Short Sleeved Yellow Tunic eventually (Heals 75 HP, no overheal). Your shields are pretty good for the price class until you can afford the likes of Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield, Faerie Tabard, Ghostkershield, Dr. Sloths Personal Body Armour, Shield of Faerieland, Pirate Captains Hat. For your Altador Cup Throwing Star, the decision is entirely up to you. You can choose to replace it with a more hard hitting yet expensive weapon or you can keep it. If you decide on selling it and replacing it, I suggest you get either Skarls Hasty Mace (minimum of 8 earth + 5 air, maximum of 18 earth + 11 air), or the Anagram Swords. There are lots of suggestions here: http://battlepedia.thedailyneopets.com/index.php/articles/viewarticle/basic-weapon-sets/ you're probably under the Advanced Set. It's pretty much all there. I do suggest you increase your strength and defense boost to 125 because your so close :) Maybe not through codestone training, maybe through Armoured Neggs and Bubbling Fungus/Essence of Drackonack. But they might be less economical, but they're faster. jurassicshark
quest
Thank you for the advice. I am running low on nps now and cannot buy the items you suggested. I will be following your advice to get my strength and defence to 125 to get the boost. Since the next boost is at 200, it is still a long way to go. The extra nps spend on codestones should be worth it.
General Technology
You can always play Key Quest to get codestones or neggs. Even play BD (Koi Warrior, I think yields the most codestones) :D You can do it! I can't even afford half your set XD But you'll do well man. Keep training :D
Aquamentis12
In lieu of shields to block damage, since you are on a limited budget. I would suggest looking into the 50% reflectors as a possibility. They tend to be cheaper, even though they can break for good and will need replacing. For Light Expert Lens, super cheap, possibly unbreakable 50% light reflector (ignore the Dual Battle Mirror as it can break and is more expensive) OR Parasol of Unfortunate Demise (FULL light blocker + a few other icons) About 10,000np on the wiz. For Dark Ultra Dark Reflectorb blocks 50% of dark, CAN break forever. BUT, It costs between 1-100 np right now. More towards the 1np price ;) For the future, Hanso's Charisma Charm blocks all dark, attacks with 10 icons, and can't break. For Fire Turbo Flame Reflector is the 50% reflector of choice. It CAN break forever, runs between 2200-4400np right now. For Water Super U-bend is the name of the 50% reflector here. Same as the rest, and about 3000np right now. Can break For Air Double Dryer for the 50% blocker. About 3000np as well, can break For Earth Shovel Plus will send 50% back at your opponent. Between 8100 and 10k and higher on the wiz. It's a bit more expensive. Can break. However, you could avoid the Shovel Plus and Super U-Bend since you have sophies hat and leaf shield. Another possibly useful weapon for you would be Earthen Scorchstone. Blocks about 5 air and 5 darkness. For a couple hundred np on the wiz. it blocks, does not reflect. Of course, all these would be speculative until we see any specific battledome opponents and learn what their weapons do. So if you do buy any of the 50% breakable reflectors, SAVE them for the plot. But it never hurts to be prepared, and these prices are good short-term for a plot. I think you could do pretty well. TNT usually seems to make some opponents for most level ranges. After the plot you can worry about saving up for upgrades that won't break. I hope this helps. Happy battling. :) General Technology
