_kit
Okay guys, here's the gist, I'm looking to upgrade my set. My current set its: Downsize! Greater Healing Scroll Randomly Firing Freeze Ray Purple Sticky Hand Double Dryer Hanso Charisma Charm Kelpbeards Trident Honey Potion My pet's stats are: Level: 93 Health: 268 / 268 Strength: ULTIMATE (199) Defence: GREAT (31) Move: AWESOME (70) Intelligence: ULTIMATE GENIUS (112) (name: Exuro_) and I am currently feeding her armoured neggs and training level. I have 1,200,000 NP and am selling items, I might get another 500k from that, my current plan is to earn, save up and upgrade the Honey Potion to a Rainbow Clockwork Grundo. I'm thinking I could probably trade up the double dryer for something else maybe instead. Also I currently just fight Vira in the battledome to earn items as Charisma Charm is great for blocking her dark attacks, any ideas on who else I could fight for better items? Very many thanks. savamal
It's rather hard to say what to invest because the current beta version modifies the behavior of some special weapons (using strength of opponent for instance), doesn't use stances or pet's natural resistances. Don't know if some changes will be permanent or not. But considering my advices, you might have time before investing into some better weapons/items. HOWEVER, I strongly suggest you to invest into a better stealer, namely the Heavy Robe Of Thievery. Why? Because with the new Battledome, you can steal any item from your opponent, can be a useless junk or the Jade Scorchstone, Pirate Captains Cutlass and so on (note: you won't get them after the fight ;) ) According to the item you've stolen, you can have other strategies. BUT, to be able to use this stealer, you need to raise your Move up to 201! Sneggs can help (and give additional health points) I have never been a fan of Bombs, which are a once-per-battle item. And since we cannot use stances... I prefer multiple-use items, even though they deal less damages. In the long run you can rely on those. EIther try the Neoquest II in Insane mode to hope for the 13-iconer Bow of Destiny or Wand of Reality (if you don't want to spend Neopoints). You can also try to buy one (or Brynns Legendary Sword of Wraith Smiting or Ylanas Blaster from previous plots) And for the Double Dryer, well it's a situational weapon. If you KNOW your opponent mainly uses weapons dealing with Air icons, then you can use it. So always check the battle set of your opponent before so as to know which reflector is best suited to counter her/his weapons. You should avoid opponents who reflect Water icons since your best weapon is Kelpbeards Trident and you have nothing to protect your pet from Water icons Rebecca~
_kit
thanks for the advice. will the new BD not have stances??? alright, I'm not really into stealers (my fights are usually over quick, have only been doing 1player), only recently bought purple sticky hand and it's my stealer, should i be using it more? also, Sneggs are darn expensive!!! okay, well I love bombs, I usually hit with Charisma Charm (to block dark, remember I only battle Vira currently) and KelpBeards Trident when attacking and will throw the bomb after a freeze. I may try Neoquest, Ironically I just auctioned off my Brynn's sword yesterday to help fund the clockwork grundo!!! (for 1.2 mill, pretty good I thought) sorry if my English is not good, not my first language
General Technology
I suggest you do sell your HPot. It's very much weaker, as compared to your constant. The bomb you'll upgrade to has an icon range 15-20, and it's one use. I do suggest you get either Skarls Hasty Mace (which is just like a SuAP but less consistent but the payoff is cool, and it's cheaper- from ) or one of the Anagrams Swords for more consistency. It's a long way off 1.2 mil, but you won't regret it really. If you really do plan on using a bomb, upgrade immediately to Ghostkerbomb. You can definitely skip the Rainbow Clockwortk Grundo, unless you REALLY want it. ;) Several months or so ago, I finally (after about 8 years with the honey potion) upgraded my Honey Potion to the Ghostkerbomb. RCG looks cool, and it probably is. but I agree with the recommendation that you save up for G-bomb if you want a really good upgrade. If you want to train speed, well, there are Kitchen Quests, but you never know what you'll get. A pittance of NP, items worth-less or not too much. Or a random stat, including Movement. Coltzan's shrine MAY still give out movement points too, but I'm not sure now since they updated it. If you buy NC, or get any NC from some Neo-event. I'd recommend buying some Faerie Quest Fortune Cookies from the NC Mall. They cost 100nc (Basically $1 I believe would be the exchange) They sell out really fast though! But when you open them, you get a random faerie quest each day for 7 days. Each quest is available after midnight NST, until the cookie runs out. 7 and only 7 can be gotten. If you miss a day, you're just out of luck. The faeries I've encountered using them are the main elemental faeries that do the same as always. Earth Faerie seems to give +2 to a random stat. Fyora, Space and Battle faeries are there too. The only one I have not seen yet is the Fountain or the Crafting Faerie. Although, I did get a crafting faerie quest recently from a random site event. Anyway, for movement, those are sometimes cheaper options. Regarding Kitchen Quests, I recommend a cap of 5k-6k for the total quest. If it's more than that, it's probably not worth the np. You can do 10 quests a day, so there's usually plenty of time. I think there were a couple other methods for gaining movement. But I think they were linked to some of the really OLD on-site games. And the names escape me right now. I don't even know if they still exist. lol Re: the rest of your set. It's nice to see someone else using a reflector piece! Do you have other elemental reflectors lined up in your SDB just in case you need them in battle? I battle Vira a lot too for the items. Another good target though, is the Jelly Chia. Get a Leaf Shield, and use that every move to block virtually all of his damage! With Vira, I freeze and "dual" with Hanso's Charisma Charm in the first move, then I bomb and heal (if needed) and that's it, unless she blocked some/most of the damage from the Charisma Charm in the first move. If she only uses dark on the first round (blocked by the charm) and she does no damage, I use my G-bomb and a multi-use weapon to finish her in Round 2. Good luck with upgrading your set and Happy Battling! :D PS: Skarls Hasty Mace does minimum of 13 icons but goes as far as 29 icons (18 Earth + 11 Air) while the anagram swords dish out a minimum of 16.25 but goes as far as 24 icons (15 consistent air icons + 1.25-9 air) :D This post has been edited by a member of staff (Rune Valentine) because of a violation of the forum rules. (for 1.2 mill, pretty good I thought) sorry if my English is not good, not my first language We don't know if the new BD will have stances. Right now, it doesn't, but it might be coming back. Purple Sticky Hand is one of the best stealers for its price. If you're looking to upgrade, Heavy Robe of Thievery (100% chance for around 150K) is the best, but only if you meet the intelligence and movement requirements. Other good upgrades are Rainbow Sticky Hand (87% chance for around 3M) and Green Sticky Hand (62% chance for 200K - 300K). Stealers can be really good, especially if you're fighting an opponent with very good weapons. Plus, with the new Battledome, there is no stealing order, so you have just as much chance to steal a Jade Scorchstone as a Pile of Sludge. Good luck with Neoquest. Just know that in order to get a good weapon, it's a BIG time investment. You can get a mid-level weapon only after completing NQ II twice (once on Normal and once on Evil), and in order to get a weapon that is at least as good as your KBT, you'll have to beat it on iNsAnE. Not only does just completing it once takes several days/weeks/months, depending on how often you play, but iNsAnE is pretty difficult. I had to restart iNsAnE twice because I died. However, I think it's fun, which is why I did it. You can definitely skip the Rainbow Clockwortk Grundo, unless you REALLY want it. ;) Several months or so ago, I finally (after about 8 years with the honey potion) upgraded my Honey Potion to the Ghostkerbomb. I think after you complete your regular quest, sometimes you're offered a Crafting Faerie quest as a bonus. It's been awhile since I did a FQFC though, so I might be remembering wrong.
