Funny how ideas change

I was thinking about this topic when I successfully obtained a Darigan Aisha.

When I started out, I was [REMOVED]bent of painting my Aisha Faerie. I had this whole backstory about her being jealous of my Eyrie, Pteri, and Shoyru being able to fly and her being grounded.

But, I end up taking a couple years hiatus (I was rather miffed at TNT during that time) and came back. I was looking at my pets and their names one day (my Aisha's name is Angel plus a few numerals, but what can you do?) and the quote "I'm no angel" just popped into my mind for some reason. So I decided to save for a Darigan PB rather than a Faerie, and I couldn't be happier.

Anyone else have similar experiences?

I change my mind too many times. For example, I decided on painting my Lupe, Halloween just for the sake of having Werelupe, (his name is after a werewolf in Harry Potter) but then I decided to paint him Grey. The petpet selection is still ongoing. xD

My mynci is still blue because I can't for the life of me decide what I want to paint her. I know once I decide on a color I will probably change my mind once she is painted within a month. I don't want to zap her with the lab ray because I want her to stay a mynci. I am thinking of just waiting until Mynci day to see what new colors come out. But that will just my make my decision even harder. o_O

Yeah! My yellow cybunny was originally really crazy but, similar to you, after a year or so hiatus I came back and realized I had matured and couldn't really write her as hyper-crazy anymore cause I didn't have it in me. I painted her Christmas and now she's like a little evil Christmas bunny, haha she's really cute in my opinion, kind of A Christmas Carol-y meets Nightmare Before Christmas. I couldn't be happier, she's one of my strongest developed pets.

I've done that as well. When I first adopted both Ansteigen and Mneryth, I made them Mutants (Korbat and Bruce respectively). I kind of gave them personalities based on that- I can't really remember what Ansteigen was (it was like 7 years ago, LOL), but I remember Mneryth was going to be a bit of a glutton. Mutant Bruces are so awesome- so pudgy! :D

I got a lab ray though, for the avatars, and I ended up zapping them both. When I finally decided on how I wanted them to look, new personalities just popped right into my mind.

I've definitely done this. It was with my Draik. From the moment I decided to get a Draik, I KNEW I would paint her Faerie. So all my months of saving/earning NP for the egg, my mind never wavered. Once I bought the egg and hatched, I took my time, painting different colors for clothes and such. I was about to paint her Faerie, then decided to wait 2 more months until Draik Day to see what was released first. Water was released, and I painted her Water the next day and never looked back.

Now, I can't imagine her any color, except Water.

I've had my main pets (most of them), since I was 12 or 13, and I had been writing about them since they stared! Their characters have changed immensely over time, too. Back then, Blossom was going to be a Christmas Acara from Terror Mountain, and a with rough, bitter personality, but now, I can't imagine her as anything other than Ghost, and a kind, sweet, shy lady from Neovia. Shuhune was once more tomboyish, but as I got older, so did she, she went from age 13 to 19 now, and a skilled Shenkuu ninja. KP wasn't always a Kougra, he originally was meant to be an Island Kacheek, until I found pirate characters more fun. Blankstarr was a pet I really wasn't sure what to do with, I had thought of making him a Goth of sorts, he went from initially Shadow to Grey.....but then I found a charitable Neovian gentleman to be more fitting for this chap as I got older. And his colour? Speckled works fine for me! ^^
