Is there anything we don't agree on Rebecca? I'm starting to think not. :laughingsmiley:

Hahahah, yeah, I don't think there is, LOL! :D

Oh, no, I'm not saying they are. I'm saying that Romney doesn't care about white people that aren't rich, or people of colour that are rich. Unless people are:

1)white

2)rich

3)straight

4)male

Republicans don't really care about them, or their rights.

I had a sociology professor who had us watch it. While there were lots of things I agreed with, I think it was mostly just propaganda. :(

Oh, I got the wrong message, thanks for clearing that up.

Yes, the first part about the origins of Christianity was SO interesting, and I totally believe that. But yeah, while I can believe just about anything about Bush, I can't buy that he orchastrated the 9/11 attacks.

EDIT: I am SO wishing you all luck today! I hope that everyone gets out and votes. :D

Yeah. :/ I don't trust the Republicans.

I just don't trust Bush! He ruined our economy.

No worries! I figured it was just a miscommunication. :)

And my god, did he ever. What a mess.

The election is today, and I'm sure Obama has New York, but if he loses Ohio and Florida, he loses everything. :(

I think the chance that Obama is going to lose is pretty slim.

Apparently this guy is really well respected, and his predictions are usually true. (Please, correct me if I'm wrong!)

Even if he loses the popular vote (which is pretty close), he will likely win the electoral vote.

EDIT: Results are just now starting to come in. If you want to follow the results (and don't have cable, like me, lol), here are a couple links for you!

Its slim but possible. Hopefully not though.

EDIT: Obama is losing it looks like. He appears to be losing Florida , a major part of the election!

Yeah, but bear in mind that Bush shouldn't by all rights have won that first election.

Magically the Supreme court didn't demand the recount! By all means I think that was bribery!

I'm sure that he didn't win by any legal means.

But this is SUPER early to start saying that it's really leaning in any direction! Most of the polls haven't even closed, and won't for SEVERAL hours. So, be calm everyone! :D

Edit: Though, Obama is leading in Florida. Good news!

Thanks, I needed that. :D I was starting to lose hope and bang my television!

Hahaha, no worries! A little bit of sense and sanity, coming straight to you from Canada. ;)

EDIT: LOL, I'm listening to the BBC live news stream, and I kind of tuned out for a minute, but it sounded like they called Romney being called for South Carolina as being horrific? Ahahaha, I love the Brits. (God knows I may have misheard, and they called something else horrific. But I hope that's it!)

Obama has been projected to win a buuuuunch of the states that just closed voting. :)

According to the BBC, it's 54 electoral seats for Obama, and 40 for Romney. :) (all projected, of course! Too early to actually get actual firm stats)

YES!

124 to 88, Obama. 324 votes left to go.

Thanks for the links, Rebecca.

I dont like either candidate, BUT DOWN WITH ROMNEY.

Why is it whenever I check the links Romney is winning. He took Texas.

Yupp, no surprise there. No democrat will ever take TX while I'm alive... at least I don't think so. I voted Obama anyways. I'm glued to my TV and so nervous right now. We need to be looking at all the battleground states, not the ones like TX, CA, etc.

Yeah, gotta say, I'm not surprised that Texas went Republican, LOL.

I'm not surprised myself, but I still had some hope as I always have hope when I believe in something with all my heart haha. I too voted Obama, first election I voted in and I'm happy with who I voted for. I'm nervously glued to the tv and will not move until the election is over :D

looking good for Obama :)

(yes, you may well wonder why I'm up at 3:30am, following an election that isn't in my country... I'm wondering that myself :P )

Looool, I know what you mean. Luckily I'm on Pacific time, so it's only just 8pm for me! I shouldn't have to be up too late. :D

I'm watching the live updates online. Obama won my state, Pennsylvania!
