passiflora Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Hey guys! I was curious as to whether there are any rules regarding the 'image' one sends in as a Random Contest entry. Aside from the art-related ones, most of the entries are usually a few photos on a solid background with some simple text - is it supposed to be like that, or can we do something a little crazier (e.g. using WordArt from MS word, or using a more advanced photo program)? Or is it just due to image size constraints? Quote
Xepha Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 You are free to use any digital software to put your entry together :) You have to follow the Art Contest Rules and Spotlight Rules. The most important is probably: The image file size should be no more than 80K. Try to avoid doing tiny little pictures as often they don't reflect the time and effort you have put into them. The ideal size is somewhere between 300 and 500 pixels (4 and 7 inches) in height and width. It doesn't have to be square and you don't need to provide us with the small thumbnail image either. Quote
Angeló Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 the text and decoration doesn't affect your chance of winning by a whole lot .. if ur entry was awesome then just writing on it with Paint works :) but of course u're free to do whatever u want with ur entry :) Quote
