I was just wondering if you play one game a day scoring about ten points does that lower the teams score then playing no games at all?

Nobody knows for sure how TNT determines the winner of a game. However, we do know TNT uses a "weighted average" of some kind. Also, TNT stated that someone who doesn't play any games doesn't hurt a team.

So, yes, someone playing only one game would more than likely hurt the team's average, while someone not playing wouldn't even count, since they're not playing anything.

What Idriya said.

If you're going to play YYB/SlSl it's probably best to play atleast 50 games of it that day. Otherwise your team's average could go down.

For MSN/SHSH most people I talk to think 200+ games a day.

Honestly it's not that hard.

I know someone that's done 1,201 games of SHSH in 3 hours, 38 minutes.

And i've maxed SHSH a few times.

200 games doesn't even take a full hour.

I don't think it would make much sense to go on total points, because obviously, the team with the biggest fan base would win.

But I think it has to do with some sort of percentage?

This is my first AC so I'm not fully sure, but I've been told no one does, anyway.

I'd hate to think it was calculated by the average. I'd like to think that every member that plays, even 1 game, would help the team, not hurt it, rewarding people for participating, even if they could only play a few games per day.

That's what I'd like to think too. I'd hate to think I'm hurting my team if I play but can't play quite as much as others. I don't want to not participate. :(

It's probably much more complicated than a simple average, but an average is definitely involved, as TNT did mention a "weighted average" at some point.

No, because if it was based like that, then FL and DC would be far more succesful.

DC had 200 all-stars last season, but due to freeloaders we still maanged only 7th. If freeloaders helped, there wouldn't have been a contest.

And FL, they have TONS of members, but they never win in YYB because they have thousands of people that just play 1 game and are done. Same with Altador. Both those teams were good at SlSl because they picked that game and played it consistently, whereas the freeloaders hate that game. EVERYONE hates that game. Unless you're crazy.

The only way I can play it is if I play 3 SHSH games at the start, THEN begin to play SS.

With practice YYB becomes the easiest thing in the world. Trust me. This season spend one day going for 100 YYB games. At some point, something will click and you'll be getting 10+ points a game.

I'm horrible at YYB. I can easily play SS and MSN very easily, and I don't get bored. I can only score 3-4 points in YYB..*sigh* Don't want to hurt the DC's average by getting really low scores in YYB..

SK has a handful of people who love SlS. We started winning it last year, because we left it entirely to those crazy people who like to get 20-100k+ SlS every day. :laughingsmiley:

Ugh, those people. At DC I think we have like 3 people that do that every day. It's insane. I only managed more than 25k of that game in one day ONCE. After weeks of therapy though i'm finally feeling normal again.

Sadly, SK was one of the worst at SlS, yet had we been doing that all year, we would have had a much better record, especially since VP and MQ were the only teams that beat us at it after we won our first game. It's annoying. :(

But what can you do?

We're steering a little off-topic, though.

The Cup gives me mixed feelings... I am terrible at games, yet I want to try so hard to get points so that I might be able to get a paint brush I'm seeking at the end. However with the past cup I played a few times in the two games I was half way decent at and received no points to spend at all. So yeah... mixed feelings on the event. I dare not do the main game as well... I really do suck at it. If they had more support games I would do fine there.

In general I'm better with puzzle challenges. So the cup thing is not my shining moment.

Yes, we are unfortunately one of the worst at Slushie Slinger, but we are fortunate enough to beat Terror Mountain at their own game!

And Altador seems to be the best at Slushie Slinger, which is no wonder why they never go down in last place.
