Unfair parts of Petpet Park(and also on Neopets)

When I was younger(and happier) Neopets never had these despicable(no offence) things such as NC Mall, where you use real cash to buy and dress your pets in Petpet Park and even on the main site.

 

They are CRUEL. Not everyone gets to go into that tree house and not everyone into that place in that planet. Its just unfair. The people with NC have many privileges. I don't think some countries get to buy it, even. But those people just aren't bothered. They let them buy wigs, cut their hair, etc.There are so many things only a Premium Member gets to do. Its very annoying.

That's why I don't like it. I don't play it anymore.

 

So what do you guys think about the unfair ways of the things in Petpet Park which only Premium people can do?

I think people should stop being so whiny, it's a free site so be grateful as it is. If TNT need to do this to make money (because it IS a business) then fair enough to them.

People need incentives to pay. If there weren't special perks for paying users, why pay? As Dynohawk says, it's a business and businesses need money to operate. SO much of the site is free (compared to many online games that require subscriptions/ buying merchandise to even register), and the things that aren't are simply extras. You can still enjoy the game without them.

I have to agree with Dynohawk and Emily.. Neopets IS a business and site hosting/artists/writers/programmers etc. are not free, they gotta pay for it somehow and advertising only covers so much.. I used to get upset when I would pay for merchandise (I have a talking Disco Aisha plushie, a Gelert toy and an extensive collection of the trading/game cards) and get REALLY crappy items for the codes you used to redeem, not to mention you didn't get to CHOOSE what you got. This way, I pay what I want, when I want and choose what I want.. I know that not everyone has access to the cash cards, or has a credit card, and it sucks, but, thems the breaks..

I'd have to agree with the majority (so far anyways) on this one. I think if people are willing to pay for something they should get the benefits for it. I do think it kind of stinks that some countries can't buy the perks but it happens.

That's capitalism! If you can pay, you can have whatever you want. I don't like that we have to deal with it in cyberspace, but I do my best to win free NC when I can and remind myself that its more of a challenge without the copout of real money. Plus I never pay for digital goods - I think its the ultimate scam. Besides, don't tell me that NP doesn't get tons of ad revenue and marketing without NC mall... Anyone in those powerful positions gets more than they give back.

I don't think it's a big deal. Neopets needs money and this is a great way to get it. Not having NC doesn't diminish any playing value-we didn't have NC in 2005 and that didn't make anyone stop playing. If people are willing to pay for extra services, then they should be able to get those extra services. You shouldn't get something for free when someone else had to pay, now that's unfair.

I think it's fair.They need to make money somehow.

What I absolutely hate however is that they have the mall blocked in my country.So even if I have a credit card and a paypall account I can't but anything. :grrr:
