CAV of Gang Green Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Call in sick! Say that some prank kids threw rotten eggs at you and they were so cold you caught a cold. It's impossible to get a cold that way, but what if they don't know that? They're bound to be concerned. Quote
Spritzie Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 I already have a cold. But I can't afford to miss work... too much stuff to do. Not to mention I'm not a big fan of Halloween. I'm actually kind of glad to be at work. I've always sat in the dark and watched TV in the past. Quote
Luciana Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Spritzie- what do you do as work? I think you mentioned it before. It has to do with computers, right? Hope your cold goes away soon! Quote
Tyler. Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 some idiots at school make fun of me I still go trick-or-treating <_< Sleep is for quitters Quote
Luciana Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Some idiots don't like getting free candy. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 For the most part, you're not suppose to go trick or treating at your age. Since I'm older, I say nothing about my plans during school. I never went trick or treating as a kid. I would just dress up as Spiderman and sit around watching TV. The first time I went trick or treating was actually 2 years ago, when I was 12. Quote
Spritzie Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Spritzie- what do you do as work? I think you mentioned it before. It has to do with computers, right? Hope your cold goes away soon! I do work with computers. I monitor the backups for a large computer company. Thank you. :) The more sleep I get, the better I start to feel. Quote
Luciana Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Omg, CAV, no one is too old trick or treat (as long as they look young). Besides, Tyler's only one year old. You're welcome, Spritzie. :-) Quote
Spritzie Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Some places have rules/laws against people over the age of 12 going out, but they almost never enforce it. I guess a lot of people said they were uncomfortable opening their doors and seeing kids at their doors that are 6 ft tall. But honestly, I don't see the issue with any age doing it. If someone is uncomfortable with it, then they don't open their door. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Omg, CAV, no one is too old trick or treat (as long as they look young). Besides, Tyler's only one year old. Exactly. You have to enjoy yourself while you can. And I'm enjoying myself while I can. Quote
antiaircraft Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I concur - people of all ages have a right to go out and look for free candy. I do work with computers. I monitor the backups for a large computer company. :O Sysadmin! I am honoured to make your acquaintance. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I'm back. I walked all around Brooklyn. I got 6 pounds worth of candy. If I eat only one piece each day, it will last me until March! Quote
antiaircraft Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 :O Now that is quite a respectable candy supply. We have plenty of ammunition for our candy cannons. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 My brother got the same amount, so we have MORE than enough ammunition. Quote
antiaircraft Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 So, I guess we just need to pick a target. Incidentally I really wish these lecture halls had power sockets... my battery's not quite going to last through this class. Quote
The Score in Blue Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Where are we firing? It's 1st November here. Quote
Tyler. Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I just got back, I didn't get a ton because everybody was out and my town is big and spread out Quote
antiaircraft Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 It's been November for quite a while here. I just had lunch. Quote
The Score in Blue Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 lunch? Right now, it's night time. We had dinner ages ago... So did anybody scare away the trick or treaters? Quote
antiaircraft Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Yep, you're five hours ahead of me - I'm just about to have dinner. ;) And I didn't get a chance to scare anyone off. Nobody came. xD Quote
livvy Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Is Halloween a thing in Malaysia too? I remember someone from South Africa being amazed at how "crazy Americans go over Hallow's Eve." =P Quote
Spritzie Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 :O Sysadmin! I am honoured to make your acquaintance. :laughingsmiley: Something sort of like that. I'm back. I walked all around Brooklyn. I got 6 pounds worth of candy. If I eat only one piece each day, it will last me until March! While this would be awesome, will the remaining pieces still be... edible by March? If so, then that is awesome and you should share with us. Quote
-Ryan Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Last night was awesome! Only was out for 2 hours hough and only got half the neighbor hood. :( Oh yeah, and some guy dwn the street brought out a real chainsaw and chased people wth it which was annoying. My friend Zane who got hit by a car a few weeks ago(he has a metal bar in his leg now) tripped while running and hurt the same leg again. Anybody get any really good candy? -proudly holds up king size Crunch bar- Quote
livvy Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 *envies King Size Crunch bar* I got homework for Halloween. *pouts* Quote
Spritzie Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Was it at least fairly easy homework? I was so tired last night, I got home from work, had dinner and went to bed. Quote
