Unstream Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Yeah. I love tests, cause they're actually what keep my grades up. Best part is, I never study either :P I think the reason why our school doesn't do the whole phone call thing is because people at my school fail. All the time. Quote
Noog Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 People at my school fail. People that fail at my school are also the people who have parents that lie about their phone number on official school docs. I don't study either :O Quote
livvy Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 We have too many kids who just don't care. If they started calling for every F, they'd be calling constantly. And a lot of the kids who constantly fail, their parents don't care either. It's kinda sad. I never study either. :D And if I do study, the extent of it is just reviewing concepts with my friend. We have identical learning styles, so studying together is painless and helpful. EDIT: No, Noog, I do not cut myself. *holds up wrists* See? Clean! Quote
Noog Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Nice to know Livvy...that you HEAL FAST D: Jk :P Shower, bbl :) Quote
livvy Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 :P Meanie. See ya in a bit, then! Random fact from Livvy's homework: A proxy is a ballot that gives stockholders' representatives the right to vote on corporate matters. ^ See what kind of exciting stuff I'm working with? Quote
Unstream Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Hm, I never knew it was called a proxy. To me, that was always just a way to get around school filters (until they started filtering the proxies xP) Quote
livvy Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 OMIGOSH! I finally understand what he's saying! I hadn't noticed it before... There's a line in Rumors that says something like "Blah blah blah proxy new social member blah blah..." and I didn't get the "proxy" bit. It makes sense now! Sorry. I had a moment. And I didn't know those ways around school filters were called proxies. :P Quote
Unstream Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Wait, what's Rumors? Yeah, but schools usually block proxies. And the thing about using them is that after a while the school catches on and blocks the proxy you were just using. Quote
livvy Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Rumors is the play I'm currently in. It's a comedy by Neil Simon, and it's abso-freakin-lutely hilarious. I so wish y'all could see it. Quote
Unstream Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Haha I wish I could too. Watching live theater is always fun. Which is half the reason why I do sound crew. I sit back, adjust mics, and watch the show :) Quote
livvy Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Hm... I'll see if I can record the show somehow. Like a dress rehearsal. It obviously can't go on HeyTDN, because it's way longer than 15 minutes, but I could maybe send the file to you guys? It wouldn't really be live, but... Yes? No? Maybe? Quote
Unstream Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Sounds good :) So wait, Youtube can't take videos over 15 minutes? o_O Quote
Noog Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 I've seen a youtube video that was an hour long. That video was from a youtube partner though (Youtube partners get paid to make videos). Quote
livvy Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Nope. It used to be a limit of 10 minutes, but they've extended it to 15. EDIT: Really, Noog? o_0 That's... strange. And okay. I'll try. :D Quote
antiaircraft Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Livvy, I'd recommend MediaFire if you're in need of a distribution method for large files. OMIGOSH! :P Well, another use for proxies is to help Livvy get around mis-configured TDN firewalls until Ian gets round to fixing them. ;) Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Nope. It used to be a limit of 10 minutes, but they've extended it to 15. The limit for normal people is 15 minutes. But Youtube partners can post videos as long as they want. Nigahiga posted a video that's 25 minutes. And WWE Fan Nation posts full episodes of Raw and Smackdown, which goes to 1 hour and 46 minutes on average. Quote
-Ryan Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Aw, they're making all us normal people feel left out. :P Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 I know, that's why I want to be a Youtube Partner one day. Quote
livvy Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 I have no real need for long Youtube videos. 15 minutes is generally sufficient. Of course, if I really wanted to put the play on Youtube, I could always just put it up in like 8 parts. :P Quote
Spritzie Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Most the videos I record, are very short. Probably no more than 5 minutes. But I only use digital cameras. I can't imagine why I would need to record a video that's longer than a few minutes. Quote
livvy Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 I can't possibly talk for 15 minutes and still be interesting. Laura's good at that kind of stuff, but I'm not. I ramble very dully. :P Speaking of video, Spritz, you should say hi to us on HeyTDN sometime. ;) Or at least have your cat say hi. He's gorgeous. ^_^ Quote

Of course, if I really wanted to put the play on Youtube, I could always just put it up in like 8 parts. :P I do need long videos. I'm thinking of doing commentaries, but it's not working well. I post long videos. If you look at my Youtube channel, most of my videos are longer than 6 minutes. Quote
Spritzie Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 I just would want to post kitty videos. None of me. :laughingsmiley: I have an adorable video of my sister's dog and cat "fighting" with the dog trying to reach the cat, and him smacking the dog on the nose. And thank you :) Quote
livvy Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Aww. *pretend pouts* You know what I just realized? I'm actually done with homework for today. Wow. Quote
Spritzie Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Yay! It's a great feeling. Have you been getting a lot? Quote
