Spritzie Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I know what you mean. Or talking in all caps. (I'm glad no one here does that.) I like every nice and neat. And small. Quote
livvy Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Kind of a throwback to last night, but I just realized that Comic Sans is about the only font in which talking in all caps makes you look LESS serious. :P Quote
Noog Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Normal Member: What about Comic Sans? Awesome Person: YEAH! I KNOW!!! Quote
Unstream Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 LESS SERIOUS? WHAT? I need to post this before I know what it'll look like. Edit: It just looks weird :P Quote
Spritzie Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I've always liked Comic Sans. Vista used to have this font I really loved, I forget what it was called though. Quote
Noog Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Walt Disney Script is cool. I just don't actually have a place to use it yet. XD Quote
Spritzie Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I used to have a bunch of cool fonts. But I never had a use for them, as I don't make graphics that require them. Quote
Noog Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Next time the AC rolls around I'm going to attempt to make some graphics :P Hopefully they won't be too bad. Quote
Spritzie Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I've never gotten into it. My best friend is amazing with it though. She made the avatar I'm using now, from a picture of my sister's cat. She's made a bunch for me. From pictures I took at concerts, stuff I found. She made me a bunch of M&M ones. I wish I had that kind of talent. Quote
Noog Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Well, not to offend that person, but that avatar you have isn't TOO hard to make. All it takes is a decent graphics program, knowledge of how the tools within it work, and some free time :) Quote
Spritzie Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Well, it's not about the difficulty of it, but the quality. I like her coloring and texturing. I rarely see ones that are the look I like. Quote
Noog Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Yeah, I like the...err...roughness(?)...of the text. In my opinion, inserting text can be one of the hardest parts, because it's easy to just insert text, but the right texture/blend always looks amazing. Quote
Spritzie Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I've never tried, but I always assumed it could be quite difficult, seeing lots over the years, that looked very... just tossed together. I also when the graphic totally matches. The font, coloring, texturing, all matches the contents of the picture. Quote
Wembly Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 This was a bad time to read this on my phone because none of the graphics or different texts show up so evrything looks the same... Quote
:)Doc Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 So... what's the topic? I got confuzzlled in there, somewhere. :P Quote
Spritzie Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I'm not sure we totally have a topic. It went from grammar, to font size, to fonts, to graphics.... Quote
:)Doc Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Well then, no topic is... a first since I've started posting at least :P Quote
Spritzie Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 It's been kinda quiet the last hour or so. Pretty much, as soon as I got caught up, everything went quiet. Quote
IrishLiz Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I was gone for a bit, but I'm caught up now. And I agree with the huge fonts/all caps thing. I associate it with being loud/yelling too, especially the all caps. It tends to drive me nuts. It's Gonzo week here! (Luis Gonzalez - former D-Backs player). Gotta love him. Speaking of the same D-Backs era, has everyone seen this Geico commerical? It makes me laugh out loud. I love it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yenuvSUKugc Quote
Noog Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 lol, a few years ago Randy Johnson was one of my favorite players, and I admit that I would not challenge him in a snowball fight. X.X Quote
livvy Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Ha, I love those Geico commercials. I like the gecko more, but these are funny too. Have you seen the one with the retired drill sergeant? Quote
Spritzie Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I like the Geico commercial where the older ladies are all golfing. I thought that one was cute. Quote
IrishLiz Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I like the Charlie Daniels one too, but then again I'm biased towards anything with violin or fiddle. Quote
Spritzie Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I think one of my all-time favorite commercials is the one for the Premium M&Ms with the Green M&M girl. Quote
livvy Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Haha, yes, that's a good one! The pretzel M&M commercial is pretty good too. Quote
