Luciana Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Did it already start? That would be a lot better than my original plan of watching it all on the computer. c: Quote
Nad Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Hey y'all. :] I haven't been in here for a while. Have been a bit preoccupied with work and such (like being all tired, like now, though I'm in a good mood now...so unlike this morning, though I didn't show it much since I was working). xP Got my hand stuck in things a lot today, which goes to the not so good mood part. xP Got my hand putting things away, but I also got my hand stuck in the drawer of my register... :\ Didn't take out my hand out of it too much and the clip of the dollar bills caught my hand. But it wasn't too bad, even though I have a little red bruise on it. But after work I went home, was online, took a shower, and then walked to work on my free time and it did me some good. :] I'm amused that they all could barely even recognize me. I guess I look different with my hair down and without my glasses (since I was all blind since I easily get tired of wearing them all day to see far). I walked, so I was safe...for the most part. xP I ramble and it's fine no one listens. Hehe. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Did it already start? That would be a lot better than my original plan of watching it all on the computer. c: Yes, they started showing the series again on Nicktoons. If anything, rent the season box sets, they have them. If they deside to go ahead with the trilogy idea, they better use a different director. Even if Shaymalan was doing it in his perspective, we are in America, not India or Korea. Quote
Noog Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 CAV, you are being way too ironic. Part of Avatar is supposed to portray world unity and accepting other cultures...then you complain because an Asian is making the movie??? Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 No, I don't mind if they call them their names but in a different way due to culture. But apparently, everyone else does. Typical Americans, never happy with anything. I don't care if they call them the way they would be pronounced in Italian, as long as the name somewhat relates. And I want Shamylan gone not because I hate Asian directors, but because if you look at his history of films, he's bad at his job, and this movie is no exception (apparently). People say that the only good movie he made was The Sixth Sense. I'm off to bed. I have to get up at 5 AM because I'm going to Dorney Park for the next 3 days. This means you can't see my annoying frantic posting :P I'll be back on Monday afternoon. 2100 posts... Quote
livvy Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Oh my gosh. Reading those reviews, I was torn between giggling at the dream-crushing negativity and crying at the idea that the movie might be bad enough to deserve such horrid reviews. I think I'll decline when my friends ask to go watch it. EDIT: On the subject of not being here, I'll be gone for something like 3 weeks straight starting next week. And when I come back, I'll read through all the posts I missed her. So have interesting conversations without me, 'kay? :D Quote
:)Doc Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I still wanna see it. Just to have my own personal review....*light flashes inside small brain* I now wanna start a movie review site. I dont know how, or when, but watch out 'cause it's gonna happen!! :woot: EDIT: Yeah... Nooo... It aint happening :( Quote
Tyler. Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Shamylan is a wonderful director, and I want to see The Last Airbender i don't care about the reviews, I might love the movie Quote
Anisha Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Um, Avatar is probably an 'Asian' typish movie. And, as it seems, I am going to watch it. I don't care about reviews. I have a different Movie taste. Maybe I would like it. Shamylan is a wonderful director, and I want to see The Last Airbender i don't care about the reviews, I might love the movie Yay! Tyler! :laughingsmiley: You are the best here! *hugs* Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I now wanna start a movie review site. I dont know how, or when, but watch out 'cause it's gonna happen!! :woot: I've done this already. It's still in progress, but as of right now, it's on the internet. Shamylan is a wonderful director, and I want to see The Last Airbender i don't care about the reviews, I might love the movie I might like the movie, but only because of my loyalty to the TV series. I personally don't like Shamylan's movies, it's not because of any racial thing or anything, but I don't like his movies. Ok, I'm off. It's 6:43 AM here, and I woke up at 5 AM so we can go to Dorney Park. Tyler, CS, make sure no one tries to take my HAMS leader chair ok? It's my chair. I'll see you all on Monday. Warm Regards, CAV Quote

Rising Star Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Well... I couldn't help myself and saw some of the movie... just uh don't get your hopes up. :sad01_anim: Is it that bad? Ugh. I just hope it's not a total let down, like Percy Jackson and the lighting thief was. Quote
Anisha Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Is it that bad? Ugh. I just hope it's not a total let down, like Percy Jackson and the lighting thief was. Percy Jackson was such a good book, but the movie was really disappointing. :( They could have done a lot better. Anyways ... Quote
livvy Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Mrr... I has a tummyache. :( I never saw the Percy Jackson movie. How different was it from the book? Quote
-Ryan Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Oh no, I was hoping the critics were wrong... Dx And the Percy Jackson movie was bad too? Bleh, I loved that series too! I just reread the 5th book a week ago... Quote
Anisha Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Mrr... I has a tummyache. :( :( Aw, sorry about that. Stomach aches are so annoying. Oh no, I was hoping the critics were wrong... Dx And the Percy Jackson movie was bad too? Bleh, I loved that series too! I just reread the 5th book a week ago... Yeah, it was disappointing. And, how many times do you reread a single book? :laughingsmiley: Quote
-Ryan Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Aw, i'm sorry Livvy. Dx Oh no. I might still see it just for the heck of it but, bleh... Dx Not many... -hides fact he just finished re-reading a different book last night- Lulz, am I the only one here who spends more time in the library every day than most kids do each week? :shiftyeyes_anim: Quote
Anisha Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 You should go and check the trailers. Maybe you would like it. And :laughingsmiley: I love library. It's the most awesome place ever. :nerd: I like reading books a lot. I have 2 and a half shelf of books. o_O Wow. Quote
-Ryan Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I doubt it, based on the reveiws it seems like the bad acting kinda kills the plot and they took out some really good parts... The reveiws may be wrong but still... Lulz, I have about that many books too, but I just keep them in boxes because I don't have a bookcase. xD Anyone here read Watership down? Quote
livvy Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I've read parts of Watership Down. I don't remember it at all though. :eh: Quote
-Ryan Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Aw, it was such a good book. Although the ending was so sad. -Hides fact that he cried at the end- Quote
Anisha Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Watership Down was a good book. But the book in which I cried was, A Walk To Remember. :( *sniff* *sniff* Poor Jamie. Quote
-Ryan Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 A walk to remember? What's it about? Anyone here read the Mismantle Chronicles? Quote
livvy Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 *pats SS* It's okay. It's good to cry over a book every now and then. Even if you're a guy. I've cried over a couple books, but one that really made me cry was Touched by an Angel: Lottery Moon. The book is actually based off a TV series (not the other way around) and it's really touching. The ending is so sad though. *does not hide the fact that she cried buckets* EDIT: Can't say I've ever heard of Mismantle. What are they about? Quote
