Spritzie Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I don't watch sports anymore. Back when I played on Softball and Basketball teams, I used to watch the NBA and pro baseball. But after a bad year in the Finals for my team, I quit watching. I haven't watched a basketball game in probably 10 to 12 years. Quote
Unstream Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Sports are boring for me to watch. Sorry, but it just never really interested me. Quote
Spritzie Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Sports are boring for me to watch. Sorry, but it just never really interested me. I grew up playing it... but in grade school, I did everything at school. Anything before or after... including juggling. lol I actually tried out for the school basketball team 2 years before I made it. (The first year, I went to every practice and everything, even though I couldn't make it onto the team, since I had gotten a cast on my wrist part way through the practices) When I finally made the team, basketball became a passion of mine. (As you can tell by looking at my Jubjub. Her name is LilBasketballBabe lol) But overall, I'd much rather play sports, than watch. Watching isn't interesting to me anymore. I'd rather watch CSI. :laughingsmiley: Quote
Unstream Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Yeah, that's the same thing for me. I like playing sports, not watching them. Quote
Spritzie Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Basketball is pretty much the only sport I can watch. I could never stand watching sports that I didn't understand. I liked knowing, and understanding, the rules when watching. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I only like the other olympics. The winter ones are boring to me. I hate that. People treat the Winter Olympics like crap. I like Summer Olymics better too, but Winter is awsome. Sports, I watch a lot of it. Baseball (Mets), Basketball (Lakers), Football (Giants or Jets), Hockey (Rangers, Islanders, Devils) and WWE. Where I live the park sucks, so you can't play a lot of sports. Also it's frozen on account of the winter storm. Quote
Theresa2 Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Iam not a sports person eatheir but my fiance likes that kind of stuff so ill let him know who won the Olymics Quote
Tyler. Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 there is no overall winner to the Olympics. It's just small events Quote
Theresa2 Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Oh I see okay I dont know about stuff like this lol like I said my fiance is the sports guro Quote
Captain Awesome Pants Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Ugh, I hate sports. And the Olympics kind of bore me. *changes subject* How was everybody's Valentines Day? :D Quote
Honeycrisp Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Valentine's Day was wonnnnnderful. And I didn't even really do anything. :) Buuut, I definitely made progress with this guy I really like. So it was all good. :) Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I freakin hate Valentine's Day. I've never had a Valentine, ever. I've never even really had a girlfriend. Girls hate me. Why do you have to depress me with this topic?? Back to Sports: Yes but Tyler, there is a winner. The country with the most medals. In 2008 it was China. I think this year it could be Canada. (Notice how most of the winning countries are the host countries) Quote
Honeycrisp Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Ahaha, sports are totally boring. And by the way, I'm 19. I've never had a boyfriend and this year the only reason I had a semi-valentine was because I bribed a guy by making pie. It's majorly depressing. Plus, I have a friend whose birthday is on Valentine's Day and she hates it so I usually don't celebrate. It's kinda a dumb holiday because love should be celebrated EVERY day. Love is a many splendored thing. Love lifts us up where we belong. All you need is love. Please tell me you know that movie. Quote
Spritzie Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I actually didn't start dating until I was 23. I had other things to worry about. And I had to work 12 hours on V-Day. So my husband and I did our stuff on the 12th, since that was our 8 month wedding anniversary. Quote

None of them did though ^_^ And ya i have noticed that hosting teams often get more medals. I guess it's because they're in a somewhat familiar area. *shrugs* Quote
Theresa2 Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Valentines was preety great for me my fiance got me a rose and a cute bear Quote
Unstream Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I didn't do anything for Valentine's Day, though the day right after Valentine's Day was fun. I hung out with a girl I kinda like, and it turns out she likes me too. Laura, how about you? Since you initiated this whole conversation :P Quote
̊ ˉˉ ̊ Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Valentines day brings two things to my mind. My mom's birthday, & The Saint Valentine's Day massacre (you think your valentines day was bad? Just read about this & you can be happy you weren't killed) Other than that, I really never saw any point to the day besides a way for companys to squeeze more money out of consumer's wallets. Although I do like the fact that afterward all the valentines themed M&M's are cheaper than regular M&M's usually are :laughingsmiley: Quote
Spritzie Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 This year was actually the first time in ages, I've given Valentine's Day a second though, since I was married this year. Otherwise, the last time I gave much thought to V-Day was in grade school. And that was only because most teachers had us make some sort of basket or something, to hang on our desks and we'd put everyone valentines in them. Quote
Unstream Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 I liked it, since the kids would tape candy to their cards. It was nice. Quote
Spritzie Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Yeah. I remember that. lol it always made me feel good too. It was cool to come to school to find the little basket full. :laughingsmiley: Quote

Then I got my butt up and traipsed down 12 houses to my "wife's" house and gave her her V-Day card, and we shared hash browns of love in the frigid temperatures walking back to her house. And then I went home and slept some more. Quote

(sorry for spelling) You're not being ignored. I know I just haven't had the motivation to talk here a lot, and only do so when something is directed towards me. Quote
