Neomail Addict Avatar

In order to get the neomail addict avatar it says that it is "Randomly awarded when viewing, sending, or reading a Neomail. You can also sign up for Neopets Premium and instantly receive this avatar. On release, you used to have to type i love neomail into a Neomail, but this is no longer possible." If I went to my neomail and clicked on one and just hit the F5 key for 30 seconds every day, would I eventually get it?

Also while you're refreshing at your Neomail Inbox, keep your avatar count on your userlookup in handy. If your avatar count goes up by one after refreshing in your inbox, that means you got the avatar (either that or the Tooth Faerie or Dr. Sloth avatars if you haven't gotten them already).

I got my avatar by just sending neomails back and forth to a friend. We would send several messages everyday and eventually I got the avatar. If you send neomails lots then I wouldn't worry too much about getting the avatar.

On a side note TNT doesn't really like it when we refresh constantly as it increases our chance of getting good random events. Do Not hold down the refresh key this is against the rules. Instead refresh the page, wait for it to load, and then refresh again.

Good luck!

Holding down the refresh key is not against the rules as per the following editorial by TNT:

Some people say that you can get frozen from refreshing to much. For example some avatars people say you can only get from refreshing and they say that you can get frozen from refreshing to much. Is that true? ~ x_tammeh

Just like many things in Neopets and life, there is a line. Let's clarify.

- Hitting refresh repeatedly for a few minutes, allowing the page to load. – Great

- Holding down F5 for 10-30 seconds at a time, checking for the avatar/challenger, then trying again if it has not been achieved – Still good.

- Holding down the F5 key for 20 minutes – Okay, but try to take a break for your mental sake and ours.

- Leaving your "cat" on the F5 key while you make a sandwich. – Not good.

- Leaving your "cat" on the F5 key all night while you sleep – Bad.

- Using a program that refreshes for you at the same rate as a human – Frozen!

- Using Opera to open 100+ pages and hitting "refresh all" – VERY frozen.

Basically, anything that plays the site for you, and requires no effort on your part, is considered a "bot" and will get you frozen. Even your "cat." This includes auto refresher functions in browsers, or putting a weight on F5 to do things the old fashioned way. If you don't do any of that, you don't have to worry.
