just started restocking

okay, so i've read the sunnyneo and the TDN tutorials for restockers.

i've just started and i'm just refreshing in the book/food shop and then using the shop wiz to find out if it's worth it.

but of course, that's not really fast.

i'm lucky to live in the netherlands, because most of the american players are still in bed or at least they're not playing neopets when i'm playing it.

but i'm still too late for high profit-stuff...

how do you guys see what makes profit, and what doesn't.

because at the brightvale bookstore, they've got a book for 5000 nps but at the shop wiz it's 98 nps.

is it just luck, or do you have some 'trick' to see what makes profit, and what doesn't, or do you have a hard-disk for your brain and just remember what makes profit and what doesn't :laughingsmiley:.

 

ps: i've found out that books at the book store with 'faerie', 'faeries' or something like that make more profit or at least MAKE profit. is that true?

well .. it takes a few times of trial and error to start knowing which items are going to make you a profit ... after a while , you memorize them ...

 

I personally avoid the Brightvale book shop because all the books can be won from the Wheel and so they're deflated in value ...

 

with the Faerieland book shop or the normal bookshop in Central you can't go wrong most of the time ... you either make a profit or you break even .. sometimes a small profit is better than nothing :)

 

I usually only RS on half-price day ... because I don't have the patience or time to refresh all the time on normal days ..

i'm now restocking at the chocolate factory, for the avvie, and on jellyneo they say that most of the rare stuff there is worth 15K or more, and they only cost 300 nps or something like that.

but yeah, the chocolate factory isn't restocking:'(

edit: no, tiki tack shop restocks, what's wrong with that stupid chocolate factory :grrr:, i want the avvie <_<

well , the choco factory is a tough one .. it needs more experience than others .. but u never know when u get lucky :)

Like Angelo said, once you've been at it for awhile and have had to check prices, you start to know what things are worth and can track the trends over time. You made a good choice by only picking a couple shops (the food and book stores are also where I usually restock). This way, you start to get to know the items really well and can tell when you're getting a deal or overpaying for an item. These shops also do restock some valuable items. No draik eggs or morphing potions, but there are some valuable neggs that restock at the food shop and rare books that can restock at the book shop. Keep at it and you'll be a master in no time :)
