Kittyn
I was playing Key Quest just a while ago and I was unaware that deliberately skipping your turn is considered cheating. I've had so many opponents do it to me before, so I just assumed. my bad. well, this girl I played against (who ended winning the game anyway, so I'm not sure why she's so freaking angry) wrote me a neomail to say that she was reporting me. if I get frozen for this, I'm going to be disgustingly upset. in all my years of playing, I've never received so much as a warning for anything! ugh. now I'm reminded of why I always kept to myself on Neopets. at first I thought she was referring to the glitch I get on occasion that skips turns (usually mine, but can also be others) and I'd replied to that. but once I actually realized what she meant, I apologized immediately. I'm not the kind of person that will continue to push an issue once I realize I'm wrong. I've just heard so many horror stories about being frozen for a minor first offense, so now I'm freaked. I would probably just quit altogether if it does happen. lame. so I guess my question is, what do you think the chances of being frozen are? like I said, 6+ years on this account without a warning... (edit: accidentally hit the enter button while I was typing a subtitle. oops! LOL)
hrtbrk
I doubt you have much to worry about. :) Now that you know the rule - you should be good. Just as you said, it's happened to you many times and those people are still around. :P
Kittyn
my not-boyfriend likes to tease me about being such a worrywart LOL. I can't help it. I've always been that way =) I sure hope that this flies under the radar. bleh, I just feel so effing stupid right now. it's amazing how I just lose all common sense at times! Scarlet Fever
At most you'll probably get a warning. :)
Xepha
I don't think anything will happen to you. For one thing, it's extremely hard to proof that you skipped your turn on purpose. What if the phone rings or if the door bell rings. Real life would take priority over an online board game :P
Syrin of Neopia
I find it odd that she reported you even though she won . . . maybe she's just very strict where rules are concerned. & I wouldn't be too worried, considering there are so many KeyQuesters out there who quit mid-game & still haven't been frozen yet. You should be just fine :)
Roxi
There are way too many people out there who enjoy finding people who accidentally break the rules just so they can report them. Those people have no lives. Anyway, considering she's just one person who's reporting you, I'm 99% sure you'll be fine. Now, if you had everyone in that game reporting you over the same issue, you would have more to worry about. But you don't so it's all good. Kittyn
thanks everyone, I totally needed that reassurance! I hadn't really thought of most of this, because my brain tends to blank out when I run into a problem. it was pretty obvious that I deliberately skipped, though. she'd used super dung and blocked me in because I was right in front of the door. oh well. I guess I'll just let it go and go play some games, since it's my day off =)
