EchoEternal Posted December 30, 2010 Share Posted December 30, 2010 My Beauty contest entry of my Skeith was rejected last week and I just got a nm telling me it was rejected this week as well. http://i480.photobucket.com/albums/rr169/echoeternal/traditionalart/bloodsaphirechristmashead3.jpg (Yes, I know it sucks, no, that's not the full thing) this is the image, and it's clearly of a Skeith. It isn't breaking any rules that I know of. The error message I was sent by the Contest Judge was: The contest judge has not accepted your entry to the Beauty Contest. Either there was a problem with the image being viewed or you did not make any changes. Please review the help page and try again. Help? Ruto Posted December 30, 2010 Share Posted December 30, 2010 To be honest, I didn't really know what that was until I read that it was a Skeith. That's probably why you got rejected. Xepha Posted December 30, 2010 Share Posted December 30, 2010 If I compare it to a green Skeith (the closest I was able to find), I'd say that you could edit the facial expression so it looks more like a Skeith... Looks too much like a bull dog or something, sorry xD Like Xepha said, I'd make the colour more blueish. The nose looks too canine-ish. I've seen a lot of designs of pets that stray from the cannon Neopets design, so I figured some changes were okay, so long as I didn't do anything too outlandish. I understand that his face looks very canine, but I like that. If I can get away with just including more of his body and having the rest of him look more like a Skieth, I will. Xepha Posted December 31, 2010 Share Posted December 31, 2010 Yea, the main issue is the Skeithiness XD All of Neopets FAQ disappeared since they made their new ticket system, so I can't find a hard copy of the rules. -_- Poking around some petpage guides told me that if a drawing looks too much like a real life animal, even if the art is good, it will be rejected. A few changes are OK, but I would just make it look more skeith-ish, and more similar to the actual drawing. :) It's worth ashot! My main policy is, if there's a minute chance, take it (that's how I got my dog xD)! They only have Hannah and the Kreludor Caves under the spotlight FAQ o_O If the "TNT" drawing looks like a real animal; like a koi, kau, uni, etc; then it's OK. I doubt I'll get many votes, but I'm more interested in seeing what they'll take so I know for future reference, than in a trophy this week.
