Ugh, Guilds!

I just wanted to say that my new guild has like 13 members, and besides myself there are like 4 other active members, and they are all a bunch of BICKERING CHILDREN, who have gotten into TWO fights today and ran two of the good members off!

 

It's laughable really. There's this girl, the 'co-leader,' who has been entrusted to "run" the guild while the leader is away at their friend's house spending the night for the weekend or something silly. If someone says something the co-leader doesn't like, she literally says "I'M IN CHARGE WHILE so-and-so IS AWAY" and kicks members out! She's like "so-and-so TOLD ME TO KICK YOU OUT" and I'm like okay, I'm 32 frickin years old here, do I really have to put up with this asinine crap?!

 

To make a short story long, I am looking for a new guild! My criteria:

1. Must not expect too much from me, as I am a full-time university student and I don't have a lot of time for, you know, anything fun :(

2. Should let me do a layout every now and then, or at least make some banners or some such, cause I like doing that kinda stuff.

3. Should lend me massively expensive/irreplaceable av items with little to no collateral. (LOL! Never hurts to ask!)

4. Should have ADULTS as members. Or, at least, members who ACT like adults.

5. Should be somewhere I can stay awhile, because I'm tired of looking for guilds.

 

Does anyone belong to a guild that would have me? Please :) I've tried just not being in guilds but I get lonely.

Hm, my guild is dedicated to finding the Wishing Well avatar. We don't really do much else or talk about much else. It will likely die once the avatar is found, so it's pretty short-term. I don't think it would fit well with what you are looking for in a guild. Sorry. Good luck finding a great guild!

My guild, Neopian Helpers Society (http://www.neopets.com/guilds/guild.phtml?id=3941659), fits all of those requirements. Even the avs thing! All you need to do is be active for some time to get the avatars. The guild has been around and active for over a year now. I just joined it a few months ago after 6 guilds in a month and a half quit. I love it, the members range from teenagers to full fledged adults. We're all mature and literate or the member gets kicked. There's fun stuff to do to and all that good stuff. If you'd like any more information PM me or neomail me or something!

They have these interesting activites and stuff. You could neomail one of the owners for more info, as I've only just joined so I can't give you too much info. It may fit what you're looking for :)

Well my guild got into ANOTHER fight today, so I left. What a bunch of jerks. I'm really disappointed. :(

I really hope you like your selection! I can't believe people come on Neopets and fight with each other -_- If you're going to start unnecessary drama, at least do it in person and keep it off a fun site.

I swear, I have left the guild twice and Mussolini the co-owner keeps coming back to me and apologizing and asking me to come back. So this time I told her I joined a new guild, but she got me all softened so I rejoined with a side account.

 

My relationship with my guild is dysfunctional. sigh

 

But I'm looking forward to doing stuff with the new guild. No promotions until 100 messages posted...yeah that's going to take me awhile. :)

hahaha! Family Guy! Hopefully the guild isn't too frustating for your side lol. I didn't know there were no promotions until 100. But then again I've only been on here a short time and I have over 300 messages so maybe it won't take too long

I would have invited you to my guild .. but after so many years of good fun .. it's been empty lately with members getting busy with life and leaving neopets ... yesterday we decided to close it down but we'll not lose the friendship that brings us together ... it's a very bittersweet feeling ^_^ :( :sad02:

Aw I'm sorry :( I understand that feeling.

Ugh, guilds. I have yet to find one that I just totally fit into.

The guild I left most recently got shut down too, because of Hitler the co-owner running everyone off, so then the leader returned and just shut it down.

 

I thought about creating my own but that never works for me. I'm not into solicitation and trying to come up with activities to keep everyone happy.

 

I think I just don't like people. hehe

It's hard. I had a guild that I loved, and that's what mostly got me to keep coming back to neopets. We were all adults (or acted like it) and helped each other out with avatars/bought each other presents. There were about six of us. It was a lot of fun. The leader had to leave because of family issues, and we dissolved... I haven't found anything I've liked after that. I found TDN, and I've been happy here. Sure, there are more people, but there are some really nice ones too.
