piscesanela007
Hey everyone! I am an avid reader/lurker of tdn, but I am always so shy about posting. However, I am having a huge problem with the containment job, so I thought I would post and ask for advice. I've been using the guides here on tdn as well as ones from other sites--they are all quite similar, but I can't seem to keep it from rupturing and have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I use the correct hands for the percentages that are below 50%, but they don't always seem to help. Am I just having bad luck with chance or are there other things I can try? Thanks a lot in advance for the help. =) (By the way you guys here are awesome.)
jjschmitt2733
I've won a game 3 times as containment(but not as any other types), and I went roughly with the guides, except that I went with stronger increase spells than they said. Even if everything was green, I would still try to use a weak increase to be safe. Also, I only used the strong decrease if it was too high and red, and only used the weak decrease if it was over 70. I never died from having too high of a percent, only too low. Long story short, I think if you shift all of the percents it says on the guides up by about 5-10 then it works better. That might be a very good idea...I seem to be struggling to keep containment running for more than 10 turns atm - never won as it, although that isn't helped by a high percentage of stuns...but it does seem to be the one at which I've struggled the most... I've been following the guides exactly...now going to try your way! EDIT: Thanks! I got it! One or two hairy moments - like when one hit 96%! Or when I got stunned and 3 of them hit 34-6% but overall the team was brilliant, and when I wasn't trying to concentrate so much on getting them to the exact point, and only keeping them from going too low it was much easier!!! I will try this now--I keep trying to tweak what I'm doing. I guess the most exasperating part is that I will be in the low 30% and I'll use the strongest increase one and then it's still red and rupturing. That's what seems to get me every time. Yeah, the main goal should be to not get any down that low. I would use the strongest increase on anything in the thirties and sometimes low forties if that was the lowest one I had. Yeah I try not to, but the 30s tend to pop out of no where (often from something that used to be in the 60s). Your method has helped... I've lasted longer, now if only I can get in a group where the person guiding it actually does their job. I've been going for between 9-18 turns now on the last few I've tried, and never gotten below 75m away. =/
