keithp
each time we win a battledome match, our pets should gain 1 hp,strength, defense, and movement. Sort of like Pokemon, but not level as fast. Win 10 battles should equal +1 level. The enemy gains levels when we win, that doesnt make sense, we should level up for winning! Highlighter
I'd still prefer training them. If we had level ups after battles, then it would be too easy to make your pet really really good...
Athene
I really like that idea. Training is very very slow, and it makes sense that battling would make your pet a better fighter. Perhaps your stats would only increase if your opponent was equal or stronger than you, to stop it being abused. And everybody's stats would be increase depending on how much effort they put into it, so everyone's pet could get really really good and be evenly matched :)
maldoror122
That's not a bad idea, but I also agree with Highlighter. It would make training pets too easy. Maybe something like: for every 10 wins, you get one pt you can choose to spend in any of your stats (endurance, level, speed, defence, strength)? RoboHissi
You'd have to make sure that you can only get "experience" when you battle opponents that are around the same strength as you are, or need exponentially larger numbers of wins as you get stronger to compensate. I personally like the current system, since it takes quite a while to build up a strong BattleDome pet, but it makes it more worth it in the end. Secre
That would be an excellent idea, but it would probably be better done with exp points (like Neoquest) and the same thing with lower enemies giving you less or no exp. Once you get to the next exp level you then get one point to play with. Mostly like what maldoror said, but with say it takes 100 experience to get to the next level and each level enemy gives you a set amount of exp dependant on your level. RoboHissi
Personally, I like the current system since if it was as simple as beating opponents repeatedly, it'd make everything a whole lot easier, and a lot less rewarding when you FINALLY beat that next DoN challenger which you've been working on for months. antiaircraft
Perhaps there would be a way to implement something similar to this without tipping the balance too much? Maybe something like the bonus items that are currently being given out for people who fight past their caps on The Faeries' Ruin plot. Perhaps some tougher opponents could give you dubloons, codestones, or bottled faeries. Pirate Dante
Hm, if you'd get, say, for every 100 wins on certain challenger an item (More valuable the harder the challenger is), it wouldn't affect anyone else but the better battlers, and give more incentive for people to battle. It wouldn't destroy the balance that way.
