vampire_girl
I hope that I have choosen the forum place to ask about. 0:) So, as the title says. Could you tell me some good games for Nitendo Wii? (I bought probably the newer version, called something like "Nitendo Wii Sports") I don't know too much about these consols... Anyway, I bought it last month, but I got bored of those games I got with it. So, could you suggest me some good games for it? I found now the newer Pokemon game called "PokePark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure", but I don't know will it work for my console? o_O Plus: The internet connection with it. I managed to connect to internet with it, and I saw something that I can buy older games with somekind of points (as much I remember/understand). How to do that? Spritzie
I don't play the Wii much. (My sister is the only one that has one, and I haven't seen her in forever.) But my husband completely loves the Mario Galaxy. I watched him play at a friend's and it seemed to be a really awesome game.

I know for Silent Hill, watched just a 5 minutes ( I bet with my friends that I'll make to watch whole horror movie) of it and I sworn that I will never watch horror moves. N E V E R x_x And thanks for the whole list! I'm not Mario fan, but I could then try to play Mario Galaxy 2 if it's that awsome. :D
Revenge
Well, there's only one Wii, and they all come with the game Wii Sports, so that's probably what you mean by that. CAV has a good list, but considering what you've told us, you might not like most of those games, so try some of these lighter ones. Super Mario Galaxy It's pretty good for anyone. Zack & Wiki Mario Kart Wii Boom Blox Elebits Wii Fit Endless Ocean and Wii Play to name a good number. And the Pokemon game you mentioned is WiiWare, which you need to download from the Wii Shop, which requires you buy a special card at stores that sell games. CAV of Gang Green
Boom Blox Wii Fit Endless Ocean Forgot to add this to the list. My brother has Boom Blox, and while it seems childish, it's a very good game. Worth the buy. I had Wii Fit Plus on my list. OMG! How can I forget Endless Ocean!? That game is calming, fun, and it has a great soundtrack from Hayley Westerna. Get both the first one and Blue World (the second).

CAV of Gang Green
Like I said, get both Endless Oceans. The first is more calming. The second adds a little bit of thrill on top of that. Gameplay for the first. Gameplay for the second.

Thank you :D
CAV of Gang Green
They are two different games. The bottom video is gameplay from the sequel.
IrishLiz
The Endless Ocean games look neat. Why is the second one more thrilling? I would second Wii Fit Plus for sure. I don't have a whole lot of Wii games though, so I'm not sure I have too much else to add. Lego Star Wars is amazing, and one of my favorite games ever. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games was fun (played it on DS though). I've also heard the Mario Galaxies are awesome, but I haven't played them. CAV of Gang Green
The Endless Ocean games look neat. Why is the second one more thrilling? It's impossible to get attacked in the first. Endless Ocean Blue World (the second one) has a danger meter, something the other one didn't. So if you provoke a shark in the second one, you can get attacked. Moogi
I've played both Mario Galaxies (actually 100%ed Galaxy 1), and I would highly suggest them. The 1st one is a little more casual and easier, while the second one has a little more challenge. Mario Kart Wii is also extremely fun, and I've never played either Mario and Sonic games, but they would be fun to try. Smash Bros. Brawl is also fun if you want to try a simple fighting game. Also, if you're willing to wait a month or two, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Epic Mickey and Kirby's Epic Yarn are coming out if you prefer casual and fun, or if you'd like to try something interesting, Metroid: Other M is a FPS/Platforming game, but it is rated T. By the way, PokePark Wii isn't WiiWare. (sorry for huge image, plus this is the Japanese box, though, English comes out in a few months)
Revenge
Then what game was I thinking of?
Moogi
Uhh... probably Pokemon Rumble. It's WiiWare, and the graphics are kinda meh, but it's decent either way. :P
Luciana
Gonna recommend Kirby Epic Yarn, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Epic Mickey, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and Metroid: Other M when they come out as well. Looks like they're gonna be really good. (I never bought any Sonic games for the Wii, because I heard they were boring and the nighttime levels in Unleashed was broken. :I) You don't have to buy the wii shop cards at the store, btw. You can just pay with a debit card right on the wii shop channel.
CAV of Gang Green
The night levels in Unleashed were broken, but Sonic and the Secret Rings was great. It's the best Sonic game to come out for the Wii.
Luciana
Hrrmmm. Maybe I should get it, then. I do like the music quite a bit.
CAV of Gang Green
A Sonic game can be TERRIBLE, but STILL have a great soundtrack.
Tyler.
1. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess/super mario galaxy 2 (I'm tied :/) 2. Metroid Prime Trilogy 3. Super Mario Galaxy 4. Super Smash Bros. Brawl 5. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition 6. Okami 7. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars 8. Sin and Punishment: Star Successor 9. Guitar Hero 5 10. Punch-Out!!! that should be in your library if those appeal to you
vampire_girl
Wow, thank you all for those suggestions! I never hoped that I'll get that much! :D Thank you all for this! :woot:
jumpingbeans
I don't know if it's been said yet, but Super Paper Mario is AWESOME!!!! I love it!
Kuroida
I'm not gonna quote everything because that would take forever: Ok, here I'm going to bring up my list from a locked topic. 1. Mario Kart Wii 2. Super Smash Bros. Wii 3. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 4. Wii Sports Resort 5. Wii Fit Plus 6. Mario Strikers Charged 7. Red Steel 2 8. All of the Rabbids games 9. Sonic Unleashed 10. Sonic and the Secret Rings 11. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (Note: it's a horror game, as in scary) 12. Epic Mickey (when it comes out in October) 13. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (summer is perfered) 14. Super Mario Galaxy 15. Donkey Kong Country Returns (comes out November) 16. Kirby Epic Yarn (comes out October) I've had a wii for years and I have to disagree with some of these. 3) it might be that I'm a kid with little appreciation for golf but I found this tedious and boring. Even though the old geezers on gamespot gave it an editor's choise award. 4) same as wii sports only there's more sports to choose from..... 5) boring although it's a decent incentive to lose weight if you really care about that stuff 6) graphics were terrible even for a Wii game. 8) only fun if you have a group of four or more. Otherwise will get boring once you get over how dumb the rabbids are. 9) The night levels are very...."different" and take a really long time to get used to (which I never did) 12, 15, 16) Can't say. How can you judge a game when it's not even out yet? o.0 The rest I would agree belong in a top 20 list. now with lol Tyler's list I agree more with. Other than Punch Out which did nothing for me but everyone else seems to like it *shrugs* Angry Icecream: Zack and Wiki. Definitely. Boom Blox is a good game for a group of kids. Elebits and Endless Ocean I can't say, I haven't played them. Wii Play I only bought because of the free Wiimote that came with it and it also did nothing for me. The Wii ware game someone is talking about might be called Pokemon Ranch. You'll need a DS hooked up with your Wii and you just basically transfer your pokemon so that you can take care of them on a 3D ranch. If you want a Pokemon game try Pokemon Battle Revolution. It's not great but hey, Pokemon is Pokemon right? :P All the Lego games are amazing. Star Wars, Indiana Jones 1 and 2, Harry Potter. I would recommend Harry Potter because in Star Wars you can kill your partner (by acident or on purpose) and there's no split screen feature but hey, whatever floats your boat. Super Paper Mario is good. Here's my list (some of these games may not be suitable for children though) MY ALL TIME FAV GAME: No More Heroes 1 (rated M) and now in no particular order: Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 No More Heroes 2 (rated M) Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition (might be rated M?) Super Smash Brother Brawl Zack and Wiki Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Trauma Center 1 and 2 Okami Lego Star Wars/Harry Potter Rockband or Guitar Hero (doesn't really matter which one, it's the songs that matter so base it on what you like to listen to) House of Dead: Overkill (rated M) Mario Kart Wii/Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing (almost exactly the same in my opinion. Depends if you prefer Nintendo or Sega) Sonic and the Secret Rings Super Mario Brothers Like anime? Then definitely get One Piece Unlimited Adventure and Unlimited Cruise (best game based off an anime ever). If you don't know what that is then nevermind. And if you have a Tetris addiction I'd get Tetris Party duluxe. You can get it off Wii Ware or on disk....that's only if you have a tetris addiction (which I do *cough*) otherwise it'll probably get boring real fast Wow this post is long. Hope it helped :S
