Guest strophysicist Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 English as in British or English as in American? ENGLISH TELLS US NOTHING!! (And its the truth.)
Guest strophysicist Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Well I speak English and I have a slight Russian accent. I didn't know if you meant you spoke English or you have an english accent... I sound dumb now don't i?
.Dan. Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Nope,it's a new world bursting at the seams of people from everywhere and anywhere. It's a great diversity.
scuandhippi Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I speak a yorkshire-ish english accent. We dont all speak with that irritating pip-pip accent you know, although a lot of people seem to think EVERY english person speaks like that and wears tweed and all that. lol.
Mira Posted November 14, 2006 Author Posted November 14, 2006 i sometimes get the English accent confused with an Aussie accent :laughingsmiley:
Guest strophysicist Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 All I can say to that is, How?
Chipmonker Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Accents are crazy. I almost have a classic midwest speak-through-your-nose accent. (As the New Englanders would say). Actually I'm kinda inbetween Her and Her - except I'm a guy and I'm not as extreme in-the-nose as the second. I found those at, http://accent.gmu.edu/browse_atlas.php . (It is a really cool site that has audio clips of the normal accent from everywhere in the world.) V ROFL, I love how he says "bags."
Anime Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Using that, I'd say I sound closest to this guy, given that I'm a girl. But the accent is just about the same.
Mini-Chan Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 wow thats cool! xD the one in PA is kinda weird xD
Anime Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 That guy is from Fort Worth, which is really close to Dallas. DFW is more considered one big place than two big cities and a TON of little ones.
Mira Posted November 15, 2006 Author Posted November 15, 2006 i sound the closest to between her, her, andher. but my voice sounds better than any of those they all sound like old people but i sound closest to Avril Lavigne in this interview of her more than any of those even though i ABSOLUTELY HATE avril lavigne
.Dan. Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Canadians all have cool accents, especiall Russel Peters, this Indian-Canadian comedian.
Samuel Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 I got a Southern British (England) accent. XD Although, no, every American seems to think we say "chaps", "tally ho", and go shooting foxes (which is banned, for heaven's sakes :P) ;)

Suspicious Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Hmm, I think maybe I have a bit of a Canadian accent? Though I have no clue what it sounds like because I'm probably used to it......
Makube_X Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I probably have what they call a "Midland Accent" which basically means I don't really have an accent XD.
Mira Posted November 23, 2006 Author Posted November 23, 2006 I probably have what they call a "Midland Accent" which basically means I don't really have an accent XD. do you mean you have an American accent? because its impossible to not have an accent
Makube_X Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 It's really called a "Midland Accent". It refers to the states that are located in the middle of the United States such as Missouri, etc. The accent itself doesn't have any major defining points. Sorry I forgot to include the country before. There are more than one kind of accents in the states you know XD (ex. Brooklyn, Southern, etc).
