Am i better off buying it piece by piece or in one lot?

They say it's cheaper buying them by piece... However, it's not a heck of a lot cheaper and certainly more work!

A factor is also do you have any lab pieces. If you have some of them then you should probably go piece by piece.

i did have 4 of the cheaper piece but gave up ahaha an sold them.. an ive just found a piece an yeh that thought popped into my head

I always use http://www.neopets.com/~Dekasin when pricing my lab map pieces. Good luck getting the map. I am debating on buying it for one of my side accounts.

Also don't forget to play keyquest as it sometimes gives you lab map pieces (not lately with all the halloween stuff, but if you're lucky...), and I'm not sure if you have the neopets toolbar or not, but if you do Tarla sometimes hands out lab map pieces as well, so it's a good way to get them for free if you're lucky.

I bought them piece by piece and it was extremly cheaper for me because a friend gifted me the first piece that was worth around 150k

just an update ive got 7 pieces now.. i need 2 and 8 :)

 

an yeh i have the toolbar.. but ive been gettin rubbish off tarla lately.. nothing worth over 3k

 

and i got a cheaper piece from keyquest which is when i started buying it piece by piece :)

hmm... i think its cheaper piece by piece as you can get some really good deals.. however, if like me, you dnt have any pieces yet and want to be saved all the trouble id go for the set.. thats what im going to do for my side :)

Conveniently though, that has lowered the market price of these particular map pieces for everyone else. Gotta love supply and demand, lol.

 

I say go for it mate! You never know what you're going to get from the lab. Plus, you'll likely get a nifty avatar. What's not to love?

Hmm, I always buy the whole lot at once for 780k or so.

 

But I know that there are many guides that show you buying piece by piece is statistically better.

If you have to save for them I'd get them piece by piece, that way each piece spurs you on to save for the next one (thats what I'm doing!). However, if you have plenty of cash just get them all at once :)

Hmm, I just calculated the nps for buying it separately...and it still comes to about 770-780k :/

I found it to be too frustrating to try and get each piece separately and ended up just buying the whole thing together. It was too much of a hassle the other way for me. I'm very impatient.
