Tamara Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I think this was a really bad fluke, or a huge tease on TNT's side. Regardless, I wish I had had the opportunity to have a Draik. They could have at least limited some people to 1. Some people made 4+ or more, and are now trading them off for their dream pets. I guess its good and bad. :T

I've been working all day, so I probably missed out. I really wanted a Draik! And I refuse to pay an RSer outrageous markup on eggs. I'll be staying up late to stalk the pound a bit more.

If I don't catch a release I'll create the character I came up with tomorrow and save up the old-fashioned way. Silver lining? Now that I have a goal, I have more incentive to learn how to restock well. :)

Kind of sad but I'll survive. I has enough pet and my plan is to morph and actual pet of mine rather than to create a new one...)

Denisa Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 There was an alleged first release around 2 AM NST and another 3 releases that were confirmed at 6:39 , 6:49 and 6:59 all AM NST. Draiks are not one of my favourite species so I'll never start saving up for one but I'll wait till next year to get one free(maybe if they do this again)so i can paint it royal or faerie(the only ones i find cute).

Anyway, it seems that on September 9th, 2009 at the hour of 6:00 AM (NST), Draiks were released for creation through "Create a Pet." This caused an obvious uproar within the Neopian community. My question is as follows: was the release of the Draiks an accident or intentional? A lot of people are wondering. Everyone has tried to come up with their own theories, but I'd love to have TNT explain the whole situation. ~tamstariWe could blame this one on the Meepits, but honestly it seems like this was a glitch on our part. It was one of those horrific, blurry-eyed early morning moments when support suddenly asked, "Why are Draiks being released?" promptly followed by us flailing around and stopping it A.S.A.P. We talked about the matter and decided not to remove the created Draiks, as we were hoping some good would come out of it and the price of Draik morphers and eggs would take a dip (not to mention the technical disaster and emotional trauma we would cause by taking away everyone's new Neopets). We're very sorry to anyone who sat there refreshing for more, or recently dropped a cool 10 mil on a Draik and felt a little cheated. But hey, at least it made the day exciting... right? ._. Heh. I'm so glad I decided to ask this question! I bet a lot of people are thankful I managed to get them to clear the air. xD
